Where did the server status forum go?

Is there any other way to tell when the servers are back up except sitting there, and re-opening the game every so often? Is the server status forum even gone? Or am I suddenly just too blind to find it?
I spend way too much time and money on this game.

The Server Status section was removed, we'll be announcing server downtime with the forum-wide messaging system going forward. You can also check out the service alerts section on our support site.1 -

The alerts section is BINARY. When we had the "status" section there was opportunity to provide actual updates of ETA and delays.
Elimination of a communication tool seems to be poor judgement.
