That is an extraordinarily odd statement. Then again, sarcasm is difficult to convey in a forum post so maybe it was meant to be an /eyeroll.I am going there now just to check. Never seen bots in the game.

Greetings @recstudios.wdearrwb17_ESO ,
We are really sorry to hear that your game experience was disturb by this issue. But please be sure that we are committed to fight against such activity, and you can even help us with that, either by reporting the bots, or if there is too many, by notifying us here on the forums with the following template:
- Server
- Zone
- Approximate number of bots
But please make sure that you don't name any, as it is against our forum rules (Community Rules). As soon as we get the information, we will forward it to our team, so they can send out an almighty Game Master to take care of those bots

Bot detection should be such a simple process, yet you folks seem unwilling, not incapable mind you, unwilling to actively do something about it. Patience grows thin for many with you on this issue. Perhaps you should ensure your resume is up to date.

I've got to say...I'm pretty impressed with Zenimax. Everyone once and while a notice will come on that GM is actively going after bots and you just need to give him a shout to let him/her know. Dang thing is I haven't seen any bots and I would love to see what the bot squashing looks like live. I image a 30 foot GM toon squashing them with their foot! LOL.
Thanks Zenimax for actively going after this issue.

How rude.
How do you know what processes should be simple for the ESO team?
I think the fact that there are so many fewer bots now means they ARE actively doing things about it.
Fair enough. I just find it odd that I've seen soooooo many and you have yet to see even one that you recognize as a bot.beowulfsshield wrote: »
Not sarcasm. I am playing as a solo player, now v7, doing quests, not caring much about nodes and generally not caring about what other people do. So I may have *seen* bots, as yes, of course I have seen other player characters running around - but never recognised that it was a bot or been invonvenienced by it.

....Ok think for just one second about this story. Last night I went into crows wood to do the stuff there, to only find People farming wolves. these were people not bots, it took 10-20 minutes to be sure of this, after initiating several chats with them. IF i was any other person I would have just seen them reported, and maybe if I was angry enough, post their names on the forums for everyone to persecute this non offending player.
Don't be a *** just be cause your angy about bots, you are not the bots police, and the people who are agree, its innocent until proven guilty, and even then there is an appeal process for the mistakes and the "OMG i'm sorry I wont do it again", minor offenders.

Please see my response to Lynessa for the nice version, and please, in your case, consider any choice words you might wish to think on as I tell you where to go and how far to get there. And by the way, it is not a violation of the ToS to farm mobs, it is a violation of the ToS to use a program to follow a pattern and timing to farm nodes in such a manner that other players do not have an equal chance. That is the problem with the bots, and why your Crows Wood story brings no outrage.

Pretty sure this one was to spawn one of the bosses for crows wood's to get the achievement.

Ah, what I found rude was the wording and tone of the first two sentences and the last sentence of the post. Calling names like "pathetic" is... well, rude.

Well, there in is another reason we disagree. I am usually the first one to rush to developers defense in many cases, but in this one, and many others with ESO, Zenimax developers and those who respond here on the forums have lost to much credibility to continue with the pleasant patient customer.
The problem here is one which we the community have admittedly allowed to continue, and which companies like Zenimax are now taking advantage of. Far, far to often we have become complacent and acceptant of the release of half broken games, poor customer service and problem fixes. We have accepted that no game is released perfectly or near perfectly, and so companies continue to take advantage of us, expecting, even demanding, that we be patient while they work through the myriad of problems they should have fixed before their greed based release. Do the math, $15 per person US, 200,000 subscriptions, per month. At that rate of income, we, the paying customer base, should have no concerns, and we certainly should not have to deal with this "bot" issue. Again, I am talking about the characters, usually named sdjkagd, who seem to time warp skip across your screen and who, invisible sometimes, are working a node you try and access and get the message "someone is using that." I am not talking about the groups of real players farming a mob, that is a different issue.
And so, in the course of time, when the excuses are the same, repeated to pacify rather than provide true cause and effect fix, then the choice word for me is "pathetic" since to state it in terms I would prefer would also violate the ToS.
