Settings not saving

Every time I log on I have to readjust the settings to my liking as well as the controls and keybindings. I thought this would be fixed in the last patch but its still an issue.

    I could be wrong on this, but I think if you're logged into the overflow server, it resets it back to default settings.

    I logged out and back in a few times until I was placed in the actual server and my settings returned to what I had them set at.

    Hopefully that helps. It could be some other issue you may be having though.

    I have the same problem. I thought we'd be told if we were being logged into the overflow server.

    Same here. Can't save any settings, or even login name. Also can't access any addons.

    This is just a shot in the dark and probably completely off the mark, but is it possible that ESO does not have write permissions for the folder it's installed in? Can you try running the game executable (<install directory>\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client\eso.exe) as administrator? You can do so, if you have administrator permissions on your account of the PC you're using, by right-clicking eso.exe and clicking "Run as administrator".

    If the problem is write permissions, running it as admin should solve that. I'm jumping the gun to save myself time, but if it works when you do this, you can set the program to always run as administrator in its properties window. Right click eso.exe, select "Properties", go to the "Compatibility" tab at the top of the new window, check "Run this program as an administrator", and click OK.

    The above information is using more modern Windows OS. If you're using Windows below XP (or maybe even XP, I don't remember if it works the same there), then you'll have to look up how to do it if you can't run as admin the way I outlined it.

    If running as admin doesn't solve it, chances are it's just a bug that we'll be waiting to have ZOS fix.

    Same problem here. Not saving license accepted nor UserId (though checked) nor game settings on my Mac. "/Applications/Zenimax Online/" and below is both readable and writeable for both my admin user and my gaming user.

    Anybody got this problem solved?

    Hello guys,

    Could you please verify you are running the Launcher and game as Administrator, as stated @Vandril please? (Thank you for your help to the community @Vandril !)
    Also, please check that "Read-Only" is unchecked as it will prevent the game from saving your settings.

    If it still doesn't work please tell us; we'll continue to support you.
