Changes to the Private Message System

In order to combat private message abuse by spammers, we have applied several new restrictions to the system:
- PMs now have flood control, the same as posts and threads.
- New accounts will not be able to initiate PM conversations. The ability to do this will unlock over time.
- Email notifications for PMs have also been turned off by default. You may elect to re-enable them for yourself by going here.

Is it possible to introduce a report button in the message field for spam/inappropriate messages?Add a dab of lavender to milk. Leave town with an orange and pretend you're laughing at it.3 -

They are not actual emails. They are PM notification emails. If you turn it back on then you are to blame if you get a PM notification email of a gold seller. Leave it off. I have not once received a PM from a gold seller. I also have had PM notification emails turned off since during beta.0 -

It should have cleared when you went into your profile and on the left sidebar clicked "notifications" to look at the list.
If not, talk to staff.0 -

Nevermind. I discovered I had to OPEN the message in order to delete it.
This is UNGOOD.
When you open a message it might be able to transmit a virus.
