Someone in my guild told me about combat-proof costumes (not one-time disguises!) in the game. And you can wear them even in combat. Is it true?!
As far as I've seen, no disguises are one-time. You can wear any of them permanently.

I actually keep every costume I find, to wear later. I've got a little collection of them. :)

Hopefully they add some more costumes or at least nice looking ones...maybe an all white robe, shoes for my healer :)

Skeletal Vestige or w/e it's called you can find in the Ebonheart Pact quests. It's pretty much a costume that you can use whenever you want. Pretty much turns you into a Skeleton. Why? To look cool I suppose. It can be equipped, and awarded from a level 25 quest. (Regardless of which way you choose to go, "Evil", or "Good" in the quest's storyline).

By the way, Zenimax: If you guys ever want me to spend money on the cash shop, costumes would be the way to do it. No need for the Palomino horse since I have Imperial Edition, and I don't really care that much about vanity pets (never did in any MMORPG).

Costumes, however? Pay To Look Cool has always been more respectable than Pay To Win.

I will agree I have no problem with the cosmetic stuff. I guess this would also satisfy the pervs who want the skimpy outfits also ;p

Oh, there's plenty of skimpy outfits already in-game. Just look at Bosmer light armor, or the Anguish top (alternatively, Dark Seducer costume). Find the right legs, and you have an armored bikini.

I'd like to see more implemented. Perhaps costumes for finishing NPC Guild questlines, reaching level 50 with a particular "archetype", etc...

    There are 3 "costumes":
    - vr2 Golden Saint
    - vr6 Dark Seducer
    - vr10 Mannimarco's armor

In addition to that, there are about 2 dozen different disguises in the game. They break when someone hits you though.. They can become permanent ("lock" icon under name), but I can't seem to find out when and why so far. I guess they get the lock icon after you finish the quest(line) they are needed for? Idk. Never noticed it.

Also, they have an ugly habit to change shape. Never noticed why some don't. Again, I THINK they change shape every time you relog and equip them BEFORE they get the lock, and after becoming permanent, they stay in that shape.

All I know is that I bought a Sea Viper Armor disguise in a guild store, and it stays forever in it's glorious looking black&teal variant (instead of randomly changing shape into fugly brown variant). Screens are posted on esofashion.

Where do you actually get Sea Viper, though? I've looked all over for that costume.

You get it during the quests at seaside sanctuary in northern greenshade.
