FPS issue? No way Jose!

secretsquirrel956
Okay I understand that there is a 'Memory Leak' issue that other players have identified however mine is different. When I load the game from the directory file and not the launcher everything runs smooth for about 30-45 minutes on HIGH settings. After that my FPS drops WAY to low. Don't even ask me to go PVP as my PC acts like a 300 dollar Acer running crysis.

I have tried enabling VSYNC, DNS FLUSH, WINDOWED MODE, HIGH PRIORITY tskmngr, GRAPHICS SETTINGS, ADMIN, Compatibility Mode, Driver updates, Fresh install of both win 7 and ESO, 50gb internet connection, replace thermal paste and a deep physical cleaning... But it still drags after mild-prolonged use (I know it's an oxymoron :) I do not crash or display any errors in windows logs and the only thing that resets my FPS is a program reset.

I have the latest and greatest DX and .Net as well as all latest compatible driver for my PC. I am running my N61JQ with the only upgrades being a OCZ Agility 3 SSD and higher capacity DDR3.

I am not looking for comments stating my computer cannot handle it because it can and for some strange reason FPS gets even worse on lowest resolution and graphics quality. My platform should be able to run this application with no issues on HIGH settings.

Any Ideas?

what video card are you using. there is known issues with the nvidia 700 series. Also do you have e temp monitoring. I'm working off the theory of the 35-45 everything is fine indicates something. Have you checked memory usage at the end of the 35-45min. The memory being nearly 4gb for eso indicates teh memory leak problem but the usually leads to a crash if you are having the issues, not jsut low framerates.

System Temps are in normal operational parameters. I am running it on an ATI 5700 series card. I am probably just going to buy a new laptop... Sigh... Didn't want to do this but I am feeling a little out-dated as I purchased this laptop while in Iraq a few years back. O well... Any suggestions? Maybe a ROG G750?

How are your temperatures? I know you cleaned it out and refreshed thermal paste and such, but it could be your CPU/GPU is running hot, causing the system to throttle it down in an attempt to recover back to a lower temperature? Some laptops a prone to becoming hot under heavy load, which may trigger this.

The 80 degrees is on the warm side, but not problematic depending on where it is measured. Is it the temperature reported by the CPU/GPU itself or a sensor near it? I'm not sure at what point your CPU's safety throttling will kick in to lower temps.

FPS is fine here too, but then my card benchmarks way higher than an ATI 5700

Really, if you score below 2500 on this chart you need a better card.
