BUG CAUSE FOUND! MAIL/BANK Crash has do to with the default Keybind! (ESO stopped responding)

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom‌ we found the cause of one specific bug

Take an attachment...crash to desktop

Depost/Withdrawl from the bank via keyboard...crash to desktop.

@Mikeyd0577‌ and I determined this is due to the 'E' keybind...

Change the key to anything else, and it no longer crashes to 'eso stopped responding'

I can empty my friggin' hireling mails again!

Mine doesn't crash and I use the default. Not saying that's the case for everyone but I don't have the crash.

I use E for mails all the time and have never once crashed from it. I take resources, etc., from hirelings and sales all the time as well. I just recently CTD'd but it had nothing to do with mails, as I just made a trade, and began to jump around on top of some boxes, messing around for a bit while talking to a friend.

I havent CTD'd once until now, but it is due to some 301 error about not being able to connect to the lobby.

I have take attachments at default E key as well and have never crashed. Wonder what it is in your case OP that makes it crash for you.

I do not know...perhaps patches not getting fully applied somehow. I just know mine would CTD religiously after 1.1.2 and until my friend mentioned using the 'E' key at the bank (I always used the mouse), we changed it and it stopped dis-functioning...

Haven't tried changing it back to see if re-bind corrects.

We both run Windows 7 pro. Remaining hardware differs somewhat.

Even if this is an isolated case, we figure it's drilled down more than what they usually get on a CS ticket...

Anyone else having this issue, or are we the lucky two?

Would be nice if a roll-back option were available per user for testing purposes.

UPDATE: Confirmed it's definitely that key...tried other bindings with no issue. Bind it back to 'E' and CTD imminent...

Yeah, I was having this issue as well. Rebinding the "E" key to something else made it possible for me to accept hireling packages, use the workstations, and possibly something else I'm currently forgetting.

However, I still get guaranteed crashes when pressing "X" to "sell all junk" at merchants, and rebinding doesn't seem to resolve this issue for me.

In both cases, I disabled and enabled all my addons to see whether this was an issue related to those, and it appeared to happen regardless of whether they were enabled or not.

Same, I crash whenever I press anything associated with the "E" key. I hope a ZOS team member sees this thread and works this into the next patch...

UPDATE: re-bound the key and now everything works flawlessly. Need to get used to the re-bind but it works. Still, this is an issue that needs to be addressed.
