Hi. After reverting the damage this patch did and i finaly coud log in now i had to see that the memory leaks and death freezes are even bader now.
PC Windows 7 74 bit. Thanks for making them worser. like at every "memory leak fix".
There is exact 0progress since beta. 0.

I can vouch for this one too, amd x2 athlon, win7 64, three of my four gigs of ram get eaten even with the launcher turned off. I cant free the memory without a reboot.

Try repairing maybe. If you are suffering some issues it might be something in the client still leaking, but if you are suffering them even worse, its sure not because of the hotfix.

Are you for real? How can you be so stvp$d? Repairing will fix NOTHING. And this "hotfix" is directly related to the present memory leak. I hate people who keep saying "Repair" as if that's the solution to every problem with ESO. Don't talk about things you don't understand, much less offer ill informed advice..

From what I can see your system has nothing to do with the crashes/freezes. I have a 3930K at 3.5gH and a 7970 GE slightly overclocked with 16Gb of ram at 2133Mh. I was getting freezes/crashes after 20 to 30 minutes of play after the patch but today I now crash hard having to soft reset my computer after a couple of seconds. I can no longer play this game at all. I pay my fee and I am very disappointed with the current state of this game. I love ESO for the most part and want to keep playing but if a fix is not implemented soon I will have to leave and find another MMO to play.

I fixed it for my self now. some malware got added within patch(red sherrif and about 4 or 5 other malicious chromium addons[that tool sayed it is malware so it deleted it] etc) or so. detected. destroyed. runs fine now.
but some verry rare leaks are left.
Not that extreme as it was before gotting rid of this stuff(chromium/awesomium addons).
Scanned with advanced systemcare 7 from iobit.
It is strange that souch stuff can get on your hd with an patch -_-

And it is the 1st game in years which is making this kind of trouble.

Eso did not put malware on your computer, not sure where you've got that from. I've scanned my computer with both AVG 2014 internet security and Malware Bytes pro and it comes up clean. The 2 things you mentioned are not malware! If there were malware in patch then don't you think more people would have reported it? If you did have some malware from somewhere else then I would be more concerned about my account details!

the funny stuff: i runned malwarebytes to to test. it didnt found1.
using spybot search andestroy and norton 360. and this tool found it.
1st time in 7 or more years that i had got this. and i am already paranoid and delete my hd if something is wrong.
The problems apeared for the 1st time after the leak fix and my pc went slower and slower to.

    (chromium/awesomium addons).
ESO uses Awesomium and Chromium in the Help and Debug screens. Without it you cannot send bug reports back to home base, or report other players. There may be other implementations for it in the game as well.

But since it is removed evreything is smooth again but some mini leaks from time to time.
/edit: already thought, they destroyed my hardware.
And i didnt removed the engines. only some plugins.

bug report etc works fine. so i destroyed nothing good. only bad stuff.

It was probably a false positive. If a program uses a compression algorithm that a AV isn't able to decompress then it will report it has a virus or PUP (Possible unwanted program) but that doesn't mean it is a virus or malware, they can also report them has generic which is usually nothing to worry about. Norton used to be the best but its become complete bloatware and I wouldn't trust it at all to be quite honest, spybot used to be very good but these programs rely on fear to get you to part with your cash so they have a interest in reporting everything as a unwanted program.

In my 33 years of computing, I've seen all sorts of thing but I have never once suffered any form of serious attack but have had lots of PUPs but in 99% of cases, they are nothing serious. Do you really think that Zenimax would bundle any form of software without the End users knowledge? I know that in the UK, if they install software without prior knowledge by the end user, its an offense, not sure about the states though.

Your AV and malware program is probably detecting a in house compression algorithm to prevent decompilation by the average user to stop hacking but these days most hacking is done via memory and not by infecting your EXE files.

I've heard recently of some malware that you can get via visiting certain dodgy sites where it drops a small packet on a unsuspecting computers which hijacks your computer and downloads a bit coin miner onto your computer which sits there not causing any real noticeable harm to the user but mines bitcoins for the crooks.

What you should have done is kept the files, handy if still in your quarantine, and uploaded them to VirusTotal (Google it). It will scan them with every AV in existence and give you a report, its very handy utility and my rule of thumb is if most of the top AVs like kaspersky, AVG, bitdefender don't show it has a virus or malware then it probably isnt, if it says Generic in the description then its probably the programs heuristics that trying to predict if its harmful but like I say, unknown compression usually triggers that.

At the end of the day. Virus and malware programs are only has good as their definitions and not one of them can protect you one bit from Zero Day viruses and those are the ones you should most fear. Best advice I can give is use common sense with what sites you visit, use a well configured browser with something like a Adblocker, flash blockers, popup blocker. Use something like WoT or McAfee site advisor as they give ratings of if a site is safe but it'd not perfect. I use Ghostery to block most advertisers and other stuff which is a excellent browser add on.

Edit: Here's an articles that tests AVs and malware programs. I've linked to page 5 where you can find Spybot which used to be very good but since it went commercial, prolly bought up by a large corporate, has gone awful! I haven't used it for over a year apart from version 1.3 that's still lingering on my computer, It scores 1 out of 5 here and Malware bytes free gets 4 out of 5. Don't trust spybot! They want you credit card, hope you haven't paid for it :)

Here's the article but there's many that all tell a similar story.

Page 5 of it but read through them.

Sorry. i was to early with "it is all good now". The leak is back at the v 6 area(EU). every 30 to 40 seconds an freeze. and if it was an fals positive why the game runend better after deleting it?
ASC never got false positives(edit: it scans for the most common u.s. (mal)ware to) . And its not an virus.Malware. Means: "Legit"Software. Mostly used for sniffing or spying to advertise or"security check" .
The strange screen and the most problems are gone. but the leaks are back now.
Since about 2 hrs(v 6 area daggerfall faction eu).
Well i am not in an worry that it was some keylogger /virus etc. it just was some other sniffing stuff. And i dont like this "tools".
I dont know if that tool got secret reupdated with an other signature.
And thanks for the advice. I wouldnt log in to game if my live monitor got me an red pop up. Cause then it already can be to late.
This was just "small" spyware. Not the realy criminal one.
Still an suspecious elderscrolls game name(named like elder scrolls redguard). And . lua files cant do this.

I was not the only one with this message. And who removed it.

Well. however: it is gone and now only the real leaks are the matter.
If it is an security plugin for the game: make an other please. this one was junk.

awesomnium process use a lot of PC resources but it is gone when you close launcher in background .

Kaspersky PURE 3.0 never gave me anything about malware so iv no idea where you get it from .

There is a small leak still which can be sorted out with memory cleaner tool(tested, it works)

Hope it will help you out.

    Thanks for that phrase :D

    But seriously...
I wrote a few programs that made my AV scream... they were no viruses... but I got warnings anyway.
They even displayed names of real viruses there are...

Listen to Loxy and try that online AV if you think you might have one.

Thanks. I already did wrote 2 or 3 times that i am sure it is no Virus etc.
It was just an junk addon(and i didnt installed it) for chromium or similar engines. This addon was gone and it is all fine. Ok. The game played stupid for some days(gave me random server kicks) . But that is an fair price. The leaks are back. Even without this strange stuff now.
