Login issues and consistent 301 error messages after patch

I've started a thread on another issues I'm having, but I can't deal with that until I login.

After my most recent crash, I try to login and wait for a while, and it says login timeout, then after I try again, it comes up with a 301 message. This has been happening for hours and I never had this issue prior to the patch. I have waited 20+ minutes (I'm fixing to leave it for over an hour and see if that helps) and I know other people are having the same issue. Two people in my guild with whom I've been talking with in teamspeak cannot login to the game at all. What's going on? Anyone else?

    Same thing happened to me yesterday evening. I just quit bothered trying after 20 minutes because I knew that the sewers group I was in had to have replaced me by then. Infinite load on Log In, then times out, then 301 error, log in again, time out, log in 301, rinse, repeat.

    Just to confirm, waiting 20 mins and trying again does not work. This worries me because others have stated that going to another computer to login does not help. I am really afraid this is somehow tagged my account to not login correctly.

    I've just gotten this. Wayshrined between zones and the game crashed. Now I can't log back in, just getting this problem. Is it working again for you yet?

    thats what happened to me last night game crashed for its first time ever on my system but let me back online last night but today i have been unable to get in just the endless login errors,tried to ping there servers and got no response but know other people are in,sent in a ticket hours ago ill let you know if i have any luck with them,am also downloading the game on my new laptop will see if i can get in on that and let you guys know if a clean install helps, i know that all the other tricks are not working like forcing and update and repair,even tried port forwarding and total network restore,the problem has to be on there end or this patch.

    Same happening to me. Game crashed, went to log back in and get 'Login Failed'. Try again and get 301 error. I ran a repair on the game and that didn't help. I've waited the 20 minutes and that didn't help. It says 301 is a lobby issue.

    This is exactly what was happening to me *before* the patch. Now I can log in. I tried everything suggested. Put in 3 tickets and they didn't get back to me after answering their questions. Now I can log in but all the NPC's are "Offline" so can't get any quests and the quests I had now say "Unknown".
    Anyway, after reinstalling and getting patch,
    - opened ports'
    - turn off firewall and antivirus
    - run as administrator
    - repair client
    I can log in.
    I've only been able to play a couple of days of this game before I couldn't log in.
    Bought the Imperial version/monthly subscribtion

    I have cancelled my suscription since i had a problem that does not allow me to play (because of new patch)and nobody answer so i cannot solve. YOu ask a lot for patience but this game is not worth the price form far (was it really tested? dificult to believe, did you really care of us when you did not think we would not like to have maintenance at daytime hours in eu server, as difficult is to preview that, for example?) i feel cheated you wasted all my patience in doing each day the worse. I cannot play, after weeks of having uncountable issues, bugs and elusive answers i give up. when i firstly installed it i was so excited and i thought this will be best game in the world... and you have make disappear all that ilusion and turn it into a true nightmare.
    Btw, tired of eternally repairing I tried to uninstall and reinstall the game and still does not work neither got a response from customer support.
    Thanks Zenimax and Bethesda your game is the more annoying and frustrating one i have played in my life, absolutely a sabotage to yourselves. Bruixa

    I just got a reply to my support request from yesterday:
    I am sorry to hear that you experienced a crash while you were playing ESO that caused your game to vanish and put you at the desktop and when you tried to log into the game, once more, you kept receiving error messages although you have already performed some troubleshooting. However, I can inform you that we have identified the cause of the memory leak that some of you have reported, and are working on a fix. It is not related to add-ons or graphics enhancement programs. We’ll keep you updated. In the meantime, one thing that can help is if you do not spend a lot of time hanging out on the character select screen. We are coding a client side hotfix now, which we are currently targeting for tomorrow morning. This hotfix should not require downtime for the players, but will be a small patch for them.

    This worries me, because I'm pretty sure this problem is nothing to do with a client side memory leak.

I don't see myself continuing to pay for this type of non sense, it's one error after an other. I understand these things can take time but this game is still clearly in a Beta state or something here is it seems. This is just a major disappointment.

    I did the same thing, 18 days left.

    It's clearly a development team that is 'learning on the job'. They've got their hands full, and I'm sure they are doing the best they can, but it is becoming apparent they are having a massive teething problem.

    I love the game, it's got great potential. But I've got other good, more polished games to play at the moment. I'll see out the 18 days. Then come back in 4-5 months for a month to see how it goes.

    So not being able to play for 3 days the only compensation they were able to give was 1 day of game time... When you screw up this bad you really need to think about a proper apology and this was a screw up, all the bugs in the patch was clearly due to improper testing. & my game is still crashing.

    I've had this issue happen to me last night and tonight. Both of which were during AA Trial runs. I've tried so many things like most of these other comments have stated. Would really like them to actually pay attention to us for once and fix their crap. No more BS copy paste replies when we ask them legitimate questions about legitimate issues.
