it is geared towards grouping, there are builds that are capable of soloing stuff from what ive read, but fighting a war is definitely a team effort, and what they were going for.

1-50 is solo difficulty and veteran content is indeed at least for duo, though many skilled players managed to solo it.

its ment for groups, 2-3, more.
You can solo it however if you dont wanna go through the burden of finding people but you really need to work on the setup of skills to make it work.
its how one button wonders are born, like bash etc (wink)

I think most of you are mistaken. Craglorn, the VR11-12 area is most definitely meant to be group content. Veteran content 1-10 like questing can be a completely solo experience. I grouped up for bosses, dolmens, public dungeons, but you shouldn't need a group to do quests, especially with all the phasing issues.

thank you for all the insights. It's helpful hearing from people who have done it. I have some additional issues with my green dragon blood turning me invisible and this issue also affects any mob with ghost like designs, including even mobs like frost atronachs. so I can't really see the mob or the aoe bands so I die quite often. And I guess this added to the mob health issues made VR non playable for me. But thank you all so much for responding.

Its when you hit the VR9-10 areas it becomes an issue. There tends to be a lot less people and trying to get someone to group with you for a particular quest can be difficult. IMO levelling content should be solo (aside from specials like WB's and dolmens) leave the group content for dungeons and craglorn. I've been having to wait sometimes over an hour to find someone to group with, much worse during off-peak.

I can never find people to do Dolmens or World Bosses while I'm playing, so I'm behind by a large chunk of experience.

Here's my personal trick to multi-mobs.

Burning embers on all three. Not only are you whittling away their health, but don't forget BE also has a heal component when it's done. Refresh when it falls off.

Course, my BE ticks are about 75 on normal mobs now, and 80+ on undead....

What's your attack setup and current weapon?

Are we 100% positive about this fact? Because I leveled from VR1 to VR10 alone and the impression I got was that the content is balanced for a single player. Much like 1-50. Yeah dungeons may be hard for one player, and most world bosses need groups, but I am pretty sure quests are intended for solo play. I have been questing in Craglorn the last couple of days and there you can clearly recognize quests made for 3-4 people groups.

Bow in my main bar. Open up with stealth heavy attack + poison arrow then spam light attack + poison arrow whilst moving back/side on the same target. Should be able to take one target down quickly, but my next main attack is Stonefist(can't remember the morph, I think it was increased range on it). This will knock them down everytime, it's quite reliable. Overcharged magicka pool + magicka regen = able to throw a lot of them, so I can knock down 2-3 targets, focus down one of them, and then knock them all down again. Rinse repeat.

Also buff my bow damage with igneous weapons on the same bar. This also stays applied to my melee bar if I cast it, so I pretty much always have it cast.

If I need to engage in melee I have 2 daggers w/flurry (the morph that increases attack speed), Burning embers, Dark Talons. Enough to CC and damage anything. I use Razor Armor on this bar instead of igneous weapons as the extra armor is required for the close melee battles.

Either way..Bow is an awesome weapon so far for me. I think ranged combat is a lot safer in vet levels in melee, and good CC abilities is second to none in keeping yourself alive. Don't forget Green Dragon Blood or Inhale for some self healing if you are running solo- used in a pinch to keep you going, it can be a life saver.

How are you set up at the moment? What issues are you having?

It's still bugged right now for some areas/npcs. I ran around tonight collecting skyshards I missed and I still saw regular mobs in VR5 with 4000hp, doing crazy damage. This restart should fix it.

And yeah, it gets a little tough to do all the world bosses and dolmens in vr8 and up, as it's just hard to get a group during some timezones. I still have few world bosses to do at some point.

I normally try to build my ultimate on 1s and 2s, then use it on trios.
