can't login to the game and no answer from customer support!!!!

    Can we get a rollback to before the weekend started once the bug is fixed? I really wanted to get to VR1 this weekend. ;)

    Woke up this AM, checked these forums...seeing that some people are now able to log in but not all....tried myself and still having the same damned problem....ughh..... Notice that they are doing a server reset....tomorrow!?!?! People have been suggesting this for two days now... so now we have to wait another day? Ridiculousness at its finest....

    I got a reply
    My suggesiton to fix my account after 2 or 3 stupid replies from them...

    1. Find my UserID in the Database
    2. Log me off from the server side.
    3. The server thinks I am online due to a database lockup on my account record.
    4. Other solution is to Restart the server to fix everyone's login issues and then figure out the bigger problem.
    5. Tell everyone to log off correctly by clicking the log off button and waiting for it so the server does not lock u down again.


    This is the response from them:

    "However unfortunately, we are unable to accept unsolicited ideas regarding The Elder Scrolls Online. This is for legal reasons. But we are very grateful for feedback and suggestions any players may have."

    Unsubscribed ... and playing a new MMO that is about to get released in a few days.

    The server reboot might not even fix our problem, there are enough other problems that a reboot could be the fix for. But naturally we'll have to wait a day to find out because it isn't like they are going to tell us at this point.

    Heh...at least two of the main issues I have personally reported are on that list.... I knew I wasn't going crazy when I couldn't remember Septima Tharn cloning herself form the first time I took a character through that quest....

    Now if they could only speed up the fix on this damned 301 error so I can get in and play I'd be a happy camper...

    To be realistic, a restart will not solve these issues. What a realistic approach would be is to admit failure and do a rollback!

    Were sorry, but the 1.1.2 patch needs more time, we will postpone it for another week or two!

    I am sorry your issue still persist, please try the following

    1. logout of the game
    2. Navigate on account/elderscrollsonline.com and login on your account
    3. See if a new TOS Agreement is prompted
    4. Then try to login back in the game and see if the error still appear

    Dear Customer Service Representative Alex,

    Please note this ticket to receive no further 'local' instructions, this issue is not a local issue. I have cancelled my subscription to ESO, and will only even start to reconsider subscribing once the technical and customer support for the game have been reviewed. Twice now I have been locked out of my account for multiple days, I won't be around for a third lockout while I get jerked around by CS who are simply not made aware of the issues at hand so that you can deal with them appropriately, nor by technical assistance staff who blindly hand out copy/paste assistance requests without admitting there is even an issue, although hundreds of people are complaining about the same problem in the forums and have logged tickets about it.

    tl;dr - I'm PISSED, I've unsubscribed, don't bother sending me any more (lack of) customer service replies please.

    I grabbed How to Survive and Always Sometimes Monsters on Steam for dirt cheap thinking I just needed a game or two to hold my attention until the fix for my four day weekend.

    Former is this diablo style isometric top/down hack n' slash with crafting zombie survival game which I found to be surprisingly fun but it is quite simple. For $4 though?

    The later is just dark, weird and I don't even know.

    Well, just tried once unsuccessfully to log in...same thing as it's been doing except.....this time when I closed the main screen....the one where we put in the password, Windows popped up a message saying that: "Zenimax Online Studios Launcher has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

    I am not sure which it is referring to as the actual "Launcher" is still open.... *SMH* this just gets crazier and crazier....

    clicking the okay button closed the Launcher program so I'll assume it was referring to it and not the login ....

    *** it, I cancelled my sub. There's zero excuse for this issue. I haven't been able to log in since Thursday afternoon. Here it is Sunday evening and still nothing has been done to fix the issue. You have 76 days to convince me that your product is worth a ***.

    Yes. You can also log in to a different account (assuming it is unaffected) and you won't have any trouble getting to the character select screen. It's not a client problem.

    ITS not player problem If you cant log into your account from another computer but you can log into a different account with no problem then by deduction it isnt your connection. It is server side.

    I might as well try dunking my computer in chocolate for all the good it would do me.

    The game is reporting error code 301. I have no reason to believe this is actually a legitimate report, given that I have connected to the game multiple times from a different account on the same machine with no connection problems at all.

    People are just trying to be helpful of course. Unfortunately this is going to have to be fixed on their end. My advice to anyone encountering this problem for the first time, don't waste your time trying to fix it on your end. The best you can do is wait and/or try again later. You can feel free to submit a ticket, but don't hold your breath for a quick or helpful response. No fault to the CS people really, they are doing the best they can with limited understanding of the problem. They are trained to deal with common problems, not critical ones.

    Hopefully more people will get unstuck before the reboot tomorrow. Good luck all, I hope you get back to working order soon.
