For the main issues below, we are working around the clock to get them fixed as soon as possible. (Please note, this post does not address every issue we are looking at and working on, only the critical ones.)

Error 301 - We are researching the root cause of the error 301 issues, and will provide updates as we have them.


Fixed
Loading Screen Infinite Tooltip Loop - Some people were encountering a loading screen issue where tooltips would rotate infiniately and the loading screen would not go away. We pushed a hotfix yesterday that fixed this issue.

Memory Leak - We have confirmed that the hotfix we pushed yesterday for the memory leak issues has fixed most reported memory leaks. If you encounter others, please let us know.

Veteran Rank Monsters (not Craglorn) - On Friday, we pushed a hotfix to correct Veteran Rank monster values. Testing has confirmed the hotfix did work, though there may be some monsters who have not respawned since the hotfix who still have old, higher values. If you encounter a monster that has been killed and respawned and you believe it still has the older, higher values, please let us know which one and where it is, and we'll take a look.

Septima Tharn - Contrary to some rumors, Septima Tharn does not have a twin. We are working on a temporary fix for the quest To Walk on Far Shores. The hotfix for this issue was pushed on Monday.

Rollbacks - On Wednesday morning, we rolled out a hotfix that should resolve the rollbacks that some of you are experiencing. Please let us know if you still experience frequent rollbacks, what your UserID is, and what zone you experienced them in.

We have also seen some confusion regarding the Death Recap info, and we are discussing ways to make it more clear. Currently, it is adding all damage from certain abilities, such as DoTs, into a single value. This makes it look as if some monster abilities are hitting for far greater in one hit than they actually are.

    Thanks for this update. I just had the time to verify the memory leak fix. And as far as I can see, there's no memory leak anymore... It should help many players. Good news ;)

    I don't think they were insinuating that it was a bug, merely wondering why nobody thought that, "adding all damage from certain abilities, such as DoTs, into a single value," would result in some confusion when the feature was being developed and subsequently tested.

    The PTS testers should be banned from PTS. Get new ones that care about more than just getting into the new content and practicing before everyone else.

    Edit: Or better yet, open the PTS to all subscribers.

    VR mobs still respawns way beyond what they was prepatch. Specially damage wise.

    I have heard (but do not know for sure) that people on the PTS are told what to test.

    Maybe just add a little "(Damage over Time)" label to the appropriate abilities, or even better, use "(over X seconds)" instead if feasible (where X is however many seconds the effect actually lasted before it was cured by death).

    That would explain quite a few things. Some of us have been getting some pretty unbelievable readings.

    Honestly let the PTS be used by everyone saves a lot of these problems. nobody would care about the 6 to 8 week timeline if you fixed things before they went live.

    I'm no longer getting error 301, just getting a login timeout now. Used to get both but now only the login timeout. Not sure if that is still the same thing or not?

    But glad to see that you are trying to fix the issue.

    As you have them? For xxx players it is now 3+ days, for xxx player 2+ and for XXX people 1+ day that we can not log in - and again, it happened for a weekend and holiday, when people are at home and have a time to play and enjoy the Elders Scrolls. These bugs are not acceptable for your customers... :(
    How many days can it takes to fix this log in error? What will you offer now as compensation because of outage?

    Edit: just saw, maintenance again during the day. From 09AM CEST till 10 AM, but as we know, it will be not only 1 hour... And sorry for my style, but I am extremely frustrated and angry, cause this is paid game, and we can not play...

    thanks for at least officially listing the 301 error as a known problem..been waiting 3 days for that to happen lol. now if it would just get fixed so i could get some play time in before the long weekend was over...

    its been confirmed by many people myself included that this issue is server side...most of us got this problem after the game crashed from the memory leak/other and im assuming your server thinks we are still logged in or something on those lines..couldn't you guys just restart the servers or something in hopes that some of us might be able to log in again until the problem is found and resolved?
