Sorry for the delay in responding, @Maverick827. We're currently looking into this issue, which we've seen people report as a slight difference in hairstyle, face choices, and facial expression. We're focusing on some of the more critical fixes over the weekend, but this one is on our radar, too.

I completely understand that there are more pressing issues right now, I just didn't want this one to get lost. Thank you!

I realize this might be a small issue, but with patch 1.1, the hair that I had chosen for one of my characters was changed. Here's a before and after:

    Before: http://i.imgur.com/1avaAZh.png
    After: http://i.imgur.com/3wPBEku.png

Notice how far out the hair goes on the after picture. I don't like it this way. The face also looks a bit different, but I can chalk this up to lighting.

This is especially concerning because there is no way to change your hair style, and I don't think we'll be getting one for a long time.

Zenimax, was this an intended change to this mesh? Is there anything you can do to help me pick a new hair style?

My female high elf character had this exact same "issue" too. It does make the character look different. In this case if they make noticeable changes to hair mesh, they should add those as extra options instead.

She also looks extremely pissed, angry now too.

I mean, the hair looks a little thicker in the second shot, but I had to flip back and forth about 6 times to see it.
    Same here.
The issue is that ESO HAS CHANGED THE DESIGN OF OUR CHARACTERS WITHOUT OUR CONSENT
    hehehe.... that's kinda funny.

I've seen others mention that their Argonian characters looked thinner after the patch: they said they'd be reporting it as a /bug, though.
Just mentioning it here to say that it might be something larger than hairstyle meshes, and could be a change to the way that the character description string is parsed or something.

Gurls, let your hair down - you're still pretty anyway :3
My characters didn't change, at least I didn't notice anything in particular. What botheres me much more is my gear - was nice gray linen with a touch of blue and now looks like rusty floor mop :/

I've seen hair changes on a couple of my characters, too. In both cases, full beard became sideburns or mutton chops. Reported in /bug report and e-mail Support Requests, but no definitive responses.

I personally would like to see more full beard styles and endorse the concept of editing an existing character's appearance.

Not high priority, but this feature would enhance the game for those who invest and immerse in their characters.

I wondered the same, but then I saw that the guy uses some scissors to change hair. Maybe that's the thing, but I might be wrong.

On a side note, my newest character I spent about an hour in the character creator for. I wanted to make everything about it perfect. The only thing I couldn't get my way was the neck height since that wasn't a option. Well, after an hour of playing with it, found something I liked, and started the game. Instantly noticed my character looks completely pissed off and doesn't resemble what I created just a few minutes prior.

This is one of the reasons I suggested that the character creation and design be taken into the launcher; it's silly to require a login before you can even create a character, and playing with creating a new character is one of those things you can spend quite a while doing, while the server's down for maintenance.

I don't know anyone who doesn't spend a good deal of time on character creators in RPGs. "Hours" for one character might be overstating it, but hours total, just messing around? Definitely.

I guess you're just too cool. You must be the coolest person on the Elder Scrolls forums.

There is currently only two classes in this game, DK and Sorcs.
Templar's and NB are just 'extras' that have not been removed yet.

i wasn't trolling you kiddo it was a honest fact. zenimax has much much bigger problems to address then your characters hair.

Which is something I stated in my original post, and something Jessica has already admitted to in her response, and something that I again acknowledged in my response to Jessica.

You saying "wear a helmet" is unhelpful trolling, as is your name calling. Reported.

In regards to expression, I've found that just doing the /brushoff emote seems to return them to their "default" state. It seems that the patch made it so any action that causes an expression change will make the expression "stick". So like, if you do /cheer, your character will continue to look all happy and elated. If you use a blacksmith's station, your character will continue to look all focused and concentrated even after you've left the anvil. Etc etc. /brushoff should return them to normal, and a few others too like /sigh but I haven't found them all.

Anyway, I'm glad the devs know about the hair issue. This is something that bugs me even more than the armor color changes. I had a character with that braided hairstyle and she looked PERFECT, but now she looks very off with the new bangs and I just feel a bit cheated after the all I time I spent creating her. I really don't want this change nor did I ask for the change. I completely understand other issues are more pressing atm, but I do hope this is addressed eventually and I can get my old look back.

    Ive noticed this.

I cant tell if its lighting or the angle at char select or if in game it uses lower res textures or what.

Pisses me off. Fjalar has eyes that look wonky and his sister's boobs got too big. ><

Lissana ended up looking huskier than I intended. Eh. Nord lady's got meat on her.
