can't login to the game and no answer from customer support!!!!

    yeah well obviously I'm not as calm as I thought. Perhaps ZOS would like to take into consideration the amount of aggravation their direct incompetence is causing to their player base if they want a long term return on their product.

    I called them and we actually laughed on the phone...they are really nice people. Some like you just get hot headed when someone looks at you for more than 5 seconds...

    its funny how you respond on my chainrattling like anyone would care for that, but you did not respond on the really issue, that they just wont restart their server to try if that solves anything.

    They are trying to fix the problem before they restart so no more people get stuck outside the game.

    You are incorrect. I get frustrated when people don't do their job properly and it directly impacts on MY leisure time, at MY expense, plain and simple. Nice <> effective. This is the second occurrence of this issue for me, I sat here and held my patience for 4 days the first time around. I'm no longer interested in putting up with this level of incompetence with patience.

    EDIT: 4 days until a scheduled maintenance (with a server reboot!) that allowed me to resume login.

    I am unable to log in since 24 h ago, but for some people it's the third day.

    Frankly, that's unacceptable for any product that is not a free beta.

    I wonder if you've ever seen the screens they do? How easy can it be to search their database for something not affecting everyone?

    I had received an email back from them too, would have been around the 12 hour mark, though I am in Australia so time zone wise I expected.
    But for me it was just saying that they will escalate to a different department
    and if they don't hear back from me in 7 days they will assume its fixed.

    I was hopeful when people were saying there was a small patch up.
    Turns out I am, like many others, still having the login time out issue and still getting the pop up from my system telling me I have low system memory. Which shouldn't be an issue as it never has been.

    Yes its annoying. but it does happen things like this. I am afraid we are just in those unlucky group. I, like many of you, have played many an mmo and seen this happen to people but luckily haven't been part of the unlucky group to often.

    Chill, it i'll get fixed. You know it. If it has been a few days, in the grand scheme of things its just a pain in the ass. They gave us a 5 day voucher before, hopefully they will do something like this again. But otherwise lets just keep this topic clear of "threats" and report instead how things are, let others who are having this issue report as well so we get numbers of replies that show evidence of this and not just people being overly pissed as it doesn't help as much.

    Then again, still be pissed. I am haha

    Look up posts for April 30, and April 16 I think it was, where this exact same issue was prevalent. My particular issue arose during the early access period, I got 2 days play, and then crash and lockout for 4 days.

    All major applications are a database wrapped in code, which calls to and from. The DB has the control, and the DB architects would know ever single switch and control in place, if they are worth their salt. There have been hundreds of account tickets logged with the same issue now for over a month, which gives a massive sample of data to look at and diagnose any issue that arises on this scale ... and all you've got is "it's really hard, they're really nice, have patience" ... this is what these people are PAID FOR. If I had a MINOR issue unresolved for this amount of time at work I would hang my head in shame. If my team had an issue of this scale unresolved for this time period, heads would roll.

    And in neither case would I subject the people that have to manage with those issues with such a lack of information.

    No need to overreact. I'm sure they are working on trying to figure this thing out as fast as possible. It doesn't help that it's a holiday weekend. As frustrating as it is for us, bugs can take significant effort to fix. It's not always easy to see or understand the nature of a bug based on how it presents to end users. It may take several hours or several days before they even understand what is causing the problem. Only then can you really address the issue properly.

    The most frustrating part about all this is that many players have submitted tickets and received these form letter type responses after hours of waiting, when a single official statement that the problem is known and being investigated could make it all feel a little less personal.

    People always find a reason to complain. But I think a simple "Hey, we know about this issue and it's being looked into" could save some people from submitting tickets and being disappointed when every so-called client side fix fails to address the problem. People have spent hours trying to fix the problem on their end, when it was never a problem to begin with. I can understand that frustration, having spent more than a few hours troubleshooting the problem myself.

    Yea I'm a little surprised they haven't tried that yet (server reboot). I guess the overall incidence of this bug must be pretty low.

    IMO, they pushed this patch way too early. Although things weren't exactly fine before the patch at least it was playable, now its plagued with even more game breaking bugs, long loading screens & now this login timeout bs.

    Kinda makes you think what kind of testing they actually did for the patch.

    No longer getting an error code since reinstalling, not sure if reinstalling or the patch has anything to do with it. I still can not log in and am still getting login timeout error but not error 301. Not sure if this is an improvement or not?

    Another thing I noticed is that on the launcher the download bar next to the play button used to always say initializing and looked like it was trying to download something but never did and could still push the play button. Now it says complete and looks back to normal.

    Hopefully it will be fixed or hear something by the time I get up tomorrow.

    Interesting, if I enter a wrong password, it knows, that the password is wrong, so basically it is logging us in, just when I enter the correct password, it can not finish the login, estill timeout or 301.

    Where are you developers? Why you can not fix a MAIN issue for xx days?

    In my personal life, I am an MS Sharepoint and SQL database manager in a company with 1200+ employee and I m responsible for these systems. If I would not fix a global problem like this (not possible to work, not possbiel to log in into the system, etc.) during next 24 hours after it appears, the company would have fired me out from work... and it is not depend on if is weekend or weekday, I have to fix it asap, because the company is working also during the weekends.

    My problem was solved right after Kaspersky Internet Security ask me about ESO process. I added it to special category and now i can logging in.
    I had the same problems as others for 15 hours

    Woke up to the same 301/time out issue as last night, even though there was a patch. Checked my email to see that I had received the same generic response asking me to, among other things"close the client".

    I'm not sure I can be bothered to reply to let them know that my issue is not resolved by this, as all it will achieve is to take away time from the CS guys, that could be better spent assisting other people with issues they actually are able to resolve.

    It is clear the low level CS guys are not being given the information they need to do their job well, so I don't see the point in hammering them with tickets (other than the first one to document you being unable to log in for reimbursement purposes, should you be so inclined).
