Greater Glyphs degraded to Strong Glyphs since new patch?

I was level 49 before the new patch and had some 15 to 20 Greater Glyphs and at least as many Strong Glyphs in my inventory. After the patch all my Greater Glyphs are now Strong Glyphs. Did the patch change anything with the glyphs levels or is it a bug?

On a related note, one drop I got from Alikir desert called "Papas backscratcher" dropped as a purple pre-patch but became blue after the patch. Can't say for sure that the stats changed but it was definately purple pre-patch.
