What about the guy with the 40% crit rate bashing away for 600+ a hit? The simple fact is the 1h/s line with bash was outdamaging all other melee lines, think about that, the defensive melee line was out damaging the offensive melee lines.
What if someone with a 2hander or DW or bow or destro staff had more mitigation and blocked more damage than someone with 1h/s? What if they could be both offensively and defensively supeior to 1h/s? What would be the point of 1h/s then?
That is what people felt like with bash in its current form. There was no reason not to play 1h/s, no draw back. You did excellent damage from bash with minimal stamina cost while maintaining a 360 block radius and mitigating most hits. There was no trade off. You could hold down block and use all your magica abilities, while the person attacking you kept getting mitigated through your block and with animation cancelling you were dealing 2x to 3x their dps.
If you didn't see it was broke then you were deaf, dumb and blind.

The nerf was perfectly handled, now they just need to bring 2h, DW and Bow to the same level as destro staff. That's the only real balancing needed in the game, no class needs to be nerfed.

This is what i see when i read this.
I suck at this game. I relied on a broken mechanic as a crutch to be competitive. My ego inflated massively due to this, and now i am where i should be, realisation dawns that i actually suck and i can't take it.
Simple answer. Learn to play.
I kill lots of people as 1H/shield, specced into stam and health. Without using bash, and never used bash since the game launched except for interrupts. Bash was an exploit. Its been fixed, welcome back to the average pile along with all the bat swarm pvpers that now suck like they should have in the beginning too.
