It started right after the patch just like everyone else is reporting. I tried clearing cache, rebooting, verifying my drivers (latest), to no avail.
I noticed that my base install is still 'Elder Scrolls Online Beta', so I uninstalled, and am attempting a full clean reinstall from the digital download. I will report to this thread if there is any change.
I'm using GeForce 335.23 Driver, released 3.10.2014
2/ crash with flicker on/after some load screens which kill the video driver. even though eso can be terminated, there are still issues with the driver. the pc needs to be rebooted for the problem to be resolved. <-- serious issue
I've found a temporary fix for this issue, assuming you have a DX11 compatible card.
I had actually set my game to DX9 to test out SMAA (still doesn't work), and was surprised to find forcing it to DX11 in UserSettings seems to fix it.
- Navigate to " C:\Users\YOURUSER\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live" (or liveeu if you play on EU megaserver)
- open "UserSettings.txt"
- search (Crtl+F) for "SET GraphicsDriver.7"
- change D3D9 to D3D11
If your card is not DX11 compatible you can also try "OpenGL" but, at least on my system, it takes a massive performance hit.
CONFIRMED, I can see ghosts and such critters again! Thank you, this reminds me of a Linux Wine tweakI've found a temporary fix for this issue, assuming you have a DX11 compatible card.
