Quest: The Innkeeper's Daughter (item bug)

Quest is in Grahtwood, picked it up at Redfur Trading Post, north west of the zone.
After untying the girl and clearing out the ambush, there's a piece of note on a nearby crate that I was supposed to examine. Instead clicked the crate(Empty) and now the note is trapped in it.
I reset the quest and relogged, didn't fix the problem. There were at least 6 other people in that area that were unable to complete the quest due to this same bug as well.

I am having this same problem. I even reported it night of patch. Forums and bugged it in game. I waited about 4 hours for some divine help so I could complete the quest, as it is my last one in the area. No help no love.

Well the only thing I can say is wait till they fix it. I know it sucks but I don't think they're is anything you can do. I guess you could try leaving and coming back to that quest in a few hours that worked for me on another quest.Edited by brandon on May 24, 2014 4:28PM0 -
Bayezid✭✭Such a simple bug,surprised then cannot fix it.
Why did they place the note on top of the crate anyway? It was clear from the start the damn note will clip through.
I hope they fix this bug but i fear it will take more than 2 weeks before they even get down to fixing it.

Svann✭✭✭Same here, except the note never was on top of the box. I just had the quest item V marker on the box so I looted it. After seeing that the quest marker remained, I looked closer and saw the note is in the box but not reachable.0

Just don't loot the crate also why did they not think to put it on the table which is literally like 10 yards from the crates?
Update: Relogged and still cannot loot the item as it is displayed inside the Crate will add a screenshot in a moment

kelly.medleyb14_ESO✭✭✭✭✭This bug was introduced when they fixed crates that where unlootable, so the original designer of the quest put the note on the wrong object.
Still bugged after todays patch. Slow to fix simple bugs kinda irritating.1 -
kasain✭✭✭I did this quest tonight. I had no issues. Maybe /restrartui or whatever that comand is. But the quest worked fine.1
