Back to 1.0.8

Although 1.0.8 had its fair share of issues at least at that time ZOS appeared to be making progress in fixing problems from launch.

From what players are reporting in these forums 1.1.2 at the moment is looking like it just wasn't fit for purpose and someone should have put the brakes on the release. Sadly we're past that point but...

Because of the problems that players are reporting with blocked quest and achievement progress ZOS really need to consider rolling the servers and clients back to 1.0.8 until they can sort this mess out. 1.1.2 is obviously not stable and I imagine I'm not the only player who has no confidence that this game can be played at the moment without the apparent and very real risk that time will be wasted when they correct the XP and achievement credit issues (assuming they even can correct it without loosing character progress - which is looking like a very large assumption right now).

It would make sense to consider rolling back to 1.0.8 so that people can play and then ZOS can spend the necessary time to address the problems in 1.1.2 before trying to put it out again.

So... have you actualy tried it yourself or just going on what "players are reporting" ?

Give it a spin before making up your mind. What "players are reporting" is just the vocal minority... most people that actualy enjoy the new patch and changes are... well... not on the forum but... playing at this very moment...

Which is something I'm now off to do :)

The statement "if you put enough monkeys behind enough typewriters... sooner or later one will produce the works of Shakespeare" has sadly been proven utterly wrong by the internet...

Luckily I didn't patch as I couldn't - went out for a while, luckily checked the forum first for updates on the situation when I came home. Noticing all the problems since the patch I've decided not to go in at all - seems like they've just killed the game :(

And have to agree with sajackson - this game needs to be rolled back straightaway so that people have the confidence to play again!

Yes I've just been playing on EU this morning and can confirm that the quest achievements have all been reset and completing quests does not appear to be awarding XP.

Must be you then, cause I'm still getting XP from handing in quests... and no achievement resets for me...

So... you haven't tried it but decided the game has been killed...

Ok, I admit, that maybe 'killed' was too strong - but if things are as broken as reported by numerous players on here are saying, then I may as well wait until a fix has been sorted. Although, as I love this game, I may give in and try anyway :)

The number of players reporting issues is no match for those that don't have any and are not on the forum but instead... are playing at the moment...

The ones on here are always in the minority... they just seem to be the majority as people with no issues don't come here to post but are... well... playing and enjoying themselves (this poster excluded due to work :p )

Got to disagree with u on one point. People who post on the forums are the minority of players. Majority of players who experience issues on the other hand dont bother posting on any forums. They just stop playing and if the in game population in many guilds and zones is not reflective of that, then i dont know how else to convince you. This game is dying, and really fast and 1.12 is not going to help save this game.
