I usually launch ESO through Steam so I can communicate with friends who message me while I'm in ESO. Well, everything turned pink (missing texture), and ESO crashed and took Steam with it, and it hardlocked my computer for a good 60 seconds before finally releasing.
I think I will close down ESO for the night, check to see if anything has been fixed in the morning, and if not, I'll examine my subscription vs. fixes before it's time to be rebilled. And I'm one of those people who figured I'd be in this game for a very long time.
I would resub when the issues are fixed, of course, but with veteran mobs being nearly doubled in strength along with the crashes, the achievement problem (and the resultant "we dunno, a few weeks" statement for a patch for that problem alone), maybe I should take a few weeks away while they iron out these things.
I really want to believe in you guys, and I want the vision of ESO to be realized in a positive manner. But you just can't push untested stuff out the door, and you can't ignore PTS reports on major issues. If you are going to ignore PTS players, just close it down and save the money (and save effort on the part of those testers). If you continue down this road, you're going to lose a lot of people, some of whom may never return.
I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow.
