Afther the patch alot of my guild is going to unsub. :'( They are sick of playing Elder Bots in dresses with staves online. Not a single thing to fix melee dps issues or bring other armor lines on par with the insaine mana regen from light armor. PLZ PLZ zeni do something fast or im alone left in my guild and i cant even say they are not in there right.

Make that 94. Sorry, but after another major patch and content addition for the people that mostly exploited their way to v10 in the FIRST MONTH, not one of the dozens of bot accounts in my ignore list that I reported and posted on youtube have been banned.

I have no confidence in ZOS' ability or desire to solve this problem and basically no desire to play when I have to deal with the constant frustration of empty dungeons and bot trains. I certainly have no desire to PAY for that experience.

See how easy it is to make useless and non-constructive posts?

Keep telling yourself that. I'll believe it when I see results. So far none of the accounts I have reported and posted on Youtube over the past weeks have been banned.

I suppose if this were one or two players stating these types of things your statement would hold weight. Seems though that these types of complaints regarding game balance issues and class superiority are common. I'd guess the danger in calling the OP's bluff lies in how badly ESO is hurt by unsubs.

Since I wouldn't want to see this game go F2P or fail financially, it might be prudent to offer a bit more than troll defensive statement #2 to their concerns.
  • stealthdf2b14_ESO
so someone else gets to max level before you due to exploits or just not having a life.......so what.....big effing deal.

they have stated several times the ywont give details on how they are combating bots...for obvious reasons. if you cant even wait one day after the largest patch so far then why even bother playing this long. wait for a fix and then dont even give it one day before deciding to quit. sounds like a guild full of impatient kids

As I said in the other threads, @AlienDiplomat, you're probably basically wasting your time reporting them and making YouTube videos and such. Even if a GM marched into that dungeon and banned them right now, another 12 would appear tomorrow. They are doing work around this area, but it's going to take a long time to sort out.

Well, they can do it without my money. Shame on them for releasing a game that was so obviously unfinished and allowing these exploits to ruin the experience for legit players. I for one am not paying them any more to play Elder Bots Beta Online.

I cant believe threads like this don't get immediately shutdown by admins. My thread gets shut down for using the term carebears but this kind of game bashing is just cool. Zeni must like getting crapped on but i wouldn't take it. Sorry they didn't make the game to your liking. Some of us are enjoying ourselves and you guys just bash our game and slap them in the face for their hard work. The support team once spent 45 minutes on the phone with me to fix a problem so I could enjoy a game that they care about as well. Maybe you need to look at all the teams here and reevaluate your assessment of them. They are 200% percent better than just about any dev and support team I've ever dealt with and if you guys are that offended I'm glad your seeking happiness elsewhere because its a real drag to see people flame on a game that has HUGE potential and alot of us are willing to wait for the kinks to be worked out.

Are the bots really that game breaking @AlienDiplomat? I just ignore them.

Not saying they should have shipped the game like this. They shouldn't have. We're paying to beta test the 6 month delayed console release, basically.

This and /thread please. In before lock, Cool story bro, and image of dolomite.

There is something in the rules about posting on these forums that you may not make "goodbye"posts and this qualifies as one. Once the population normalizes I wonder what the ratio of players/bots will be.

By the way your friends will probably come back within a year claiming to be "old school ESO players who deserve mad respect bro!"

As I see it the corporate bean counters are 100% relying on the "newness" factor keeping OCD customers paying them money, and so have not prioritized solving the exploit and botting problems since those account also make them money.

It is only when this 2nd month rolls over and thousands of people just like me stop paying them to play Elder Bots Beta Online that they will get serious, because the only thing corporations understand is MONEY.

I've decided that this is just the group of players that would be sheding tears in any mmo because things didn't go their way immediately. What do you want them to send you an email? "Hey batman we banned the botters you reported" No they just ban them. My suggestion to you is to play your game and not worry about the botters so much. Do as i do and quietly report and *** make it your sole reason to play is to rid the game of botters. And for the 93 in the guild you can't expect every single thing to be perfect in under a year of release. Get ahold of yourselves, cmon guys.

^This. I love how no one bashed Skyrim, which was bugged up the wazoo for months, hell, up to a year after release, with myriads of bugs, glitches and un-completable quests (some of which have still not been fixed 3 YEARS AFTER RELEASE). Then along comes ESO with the same problems, hell, actually better in some respects, and it gets bashed all day long on the forums.

ESO is still one of the smoothest game launches I've ever played. Perfect? Of course not, but still one of the smoothest.

These sort of posts baffle me. No other MMO I have played (many) have had this big of a bot and exploit problem at release, and almost two months into release. They are releasing content updates for mostly exploiters that cheated their way to v10 within one month, while they rely on people apologizing for a problem that is ruining the game experience for everyone.

Do you really have such a hard time understanding why people wouldn't want to continue paying them for that experience? For empty dungeons with bot trains spear-spamming everything in site? For the privilege of beta testing their console release?
  • jbfroik

@AlienDiplomat I'm just saying as far as mmo's right now this one does not have as big of problem as you think. They work on it here. That's the main difference. I would encourage you if that's how you really feel to try something else. Let me tell you though the grass isn't always greener on the other side. The teams that work on this game really cares, and the people they are releasing content for aren't all botters, they are getting stuff out there that all of us will be able to enjoy. I'm not sure why everyone is so angry. This game is so new. Just sit back breathe and enjoy Tamriel for what it is. Ignore the bots and wait for it to be fixed. Remember if you report them dude thats like $60 per banned account. I don't know how much they make off of selling gold but honestly there isn't much need for it in game so I imagine a ban would be a costly affair, especially for those stupidly obvious 7 man bot trains. Its not gonna happen too long when they burn out so many accounts.

A lot of people quit after the first month. Reason being, the game did not meet their expectations. It may not be their style of preferred game, or any number of reasons. So they blame it on some fault in the game.

You also have the players that want to be able to say they are the one that brought a multi million dollar game down by themselves.

While many people will leave for differing reasons, there is 10 times that person that is enjoying the game and will stay for a long time.
