Mail for game gold? Why???

Why am I now getting mail in my forums mail, advertising for game gold?

Have you guys checked the forums on tesoelite.com and tamrielfoundry.com lately? are you aware that people are about to start leaving the game, in droves, because you guys cannot manage the bot/gold seller issue?

i'd say something big needs to be said about this, and something big needs to be done about this, fairly quickly. it would be a shame for this to be the issue that drives people away from your game ... but have no doubt, it WILL drive them away.

The bot/gold selling issue will NEVER go away. So if people want to go play another MMO, they will get the same thing.

I quit WoW in january and there were gold sellers and botters daily! Ofcourse WoW has had what, 10+ yrs to perfect their system, while ESO has had what, maybe a month and a half, and people are threatening ZOS about leaving?

Bunch of weenies imo.

2) and here's something else that just right-out pisses me off ... i have, sitting in my email here on the forums site, right now, mail from gold-spammers. this is simply intolerable. zeni has a system that lets them capture, then spam mail, to every one of us, and that's not seen as a problem? sorry, i dearly, DEARLY love this game, so don't go fanboi on me. but a security risk, as this is, is not something people will ignore, or tolerate. weenies? pft. no. people who don't want their identities stolen.

Nah, i don't use the term fanboy as that is an excuse for someone to call another person who supports this game, which is just childlike imo. And people aren't going to get their identities stolen because a person created an account, and spammed a bunch of gold emails/mails to people. Your working yourself up over nothing.

LOL this. Also, gold spammers/sellers has always and will always exist in all MMOs. Besides, Zenimax has been doing a better job than most MMO companies in sending out GMs to personally go on a bot banning spree. Most MMOs companies don't even bother to do that.

Indeed. I remember level 85's flying in Pandaria from node to node- which, isn't possible as you can't fly until 90. Massive bot trains going into BC and LK dungeons...The chat spam in Rift was worse than anything I've ever seen- but they did get it pretty well stopped- a year after launch. Every legitimate player and (I promise) every MMO company hates bots- but you are dealing with an underworld of people that make their living writing botting scripts. It will never end as long as there is a market for it. Does it suck? Yeah. Is it game breaking? Meh. To me it's just a real world example of evil infesting the fantasy world. Minions of Molag Bal, or Gold Farmers- same difference.
