Yup.
Controlled test with willing participants. Small scale. Only about 3-5 of us at a time.
I saw somewhere ZOS said the NB bugs were occurring in large scale hectic fights, so my test can't tell you anything about that.

You never will be able to be permanently invisible because you run out of magicka pretty soon. Plus you cant sprint while cloaked so its pretty easy to find and AOE you when your last position is known. So yes, it should not be broke by any damage or healing taken. Dont exactly know if Mages Light detects you when cloaked but if it would be a good, easy to learn and logic counter to Shadow Cloak in its different forms. If not it should
When used in conjunction with other speed increases - Bow passive (Hasty Retreat), Path of Darkness, Cripple - to name a few, you can FLY across the map and create huge distance with just a couple of Dark Cloaks.

Doesn't appear to be likely synergies. Path of Darkness (if you damage anyone) and Cripple (bugged) break Dark Cloak. Hasty retreat requires a roll and a bow of course.
But, yes, if you have a bow swap set up for retreat with Dark Cloak and RM and you could swap in time, then dodge-roll, hit RM and cloak you might be a slimy little escapee. If it's going to be an escape bar you might even slot some evasion in there like blur, evasion or shadow decoys. I will definitely consider trying this for giggles. Thanks for the ideas
