Changing account from US to EU server

how do i do this? im fairly noob when it comes to ESO. in WoW it was just a matter of picking the new server in a menu, but i cant seem to see anything like that.

its in your launcher settings. You choose the EU server and have to download it again.

I don't think it's usually a download for the whole game, just the files that let you access the EU server.

Bear in mind that you can't transfer your NA characters to the EU server. You'll be starting fresh.

Do not download it all again, luckily you can save yourself a lot of time with a little trick:

Change the megaserver in the launcher settings which will start to download and install the EU client.
Stop that install after a few seconds.
Copy the contents of the US folder into the EU folder.
Start the launcher again and select repair.
You just saved a whole lot of time.
In case you were wondering; no you can't bring your old characters with you, you have to start fresh. Edit: As @nerevarine1138‌ already said.

Be sure to remember though that when you play on the EU server you will find that a whole lot of players refuse to speak English for all sorts of reasons. It's the reason I play on the US megaserver even though I live in Europe. I just prefer to be able to understand 99,9% of the comments made by fellow players.

I tried this method a couple of times but all ended up getting Error209. "Unable to determine current version." Do you have any idea hot to avoid this error?
