Teleporting bots back in force

Ok, somehow these bots are able to tell the server, hey I lagged, but I'm over here now....

It's annoying.
Run up to a node only to see a flying man disappear underground and farm the node before you can reach it. Then farm the others 25 ft away before you reach them either.

I know pathing bots can be hard to identify. Some people just don't respond.

But the teleporting ones. That should be some kind of easy to identify pattern and have that stuff automated.

I made a new char on AD recently tonight, and they were everywhere on the starter Island. reported them if i could catch them stopping at a node, otherwise they were usually too fast and mostly underground and i couldn't get em lol.

I am so sick of seeing these bots now. Whole areas are filled with them. They not only kill mobs in a group like that then teleporting again, but also doing resource nodes.. and these node bots I have seen are invisible except for their hands when they mine etc. They move so fast you can't report them.

Having bots like this in the game and so little evidence of the situation getting better (in fact, it has gotten a lot worse from what I have seen over the last few weeks) that it makes me dislike playing the game. I go out to try and do quests and gather for crafting, and I have nodes disappear on me, or have invisible or visible bots teleport and grab them before I can get to them, or have quest mobs be killed before I have a chance at them.

The whole situation is really disheartening. In other games, sure there were goldsellers, but I have never seen them to this extent. I have played many games, but never has it impacted in my gameplay like this. It isn't like you can ignore them either. Groups of flying people are sort of hard to ignore, especially when they take what you were going for, whether resources or mobs.

As it is now, the bots as well as a couple of other issues are likely to end in me cancelling my subscription, because it impacts so greatly on gameplay experience.

They are ****ing leeches. Don't they realize that if they ruin the experience for others and everyone quits, there is no game.
    To ban with them.
    Ban them,
    Ban their credit card,
    Ban their IP.
    Ban their email.

If they want back in they're going to have to go through a lot of pain.

I know there has been endless threads on these stupid bots, but seriously I am so sick and tired of the underground node ninjas teleporting all over the place. Been out trying to farm resources for alchemy, clothing and enchanting and it is a joke. Hours of searching just to find very little. Every zone I go too is just empty. Can't understand why they can't fix this, or increase the node spawns so the players can get something. They need to do something until this bot problem is under control because currently, the game is not working as intended.

I have not seen any since last patch and I visited a low level zone several times a day (all the crafting stations are close with each other). It used to be bad before the last patch, but have not see any since then. I guess it took time to find a new hack.

Gold Farmers (and ban'ing of them) is an endless game of cat and mouse.

I am still convinced that ZOS has a deal going with the gold farmers to allow them for a share of their commission.

After a month and a half none of the 20+ obvious bots I reported, Youtube's, forum shamed, and ticketed have been banned. This speaks volumes to me about ZOS's true motivation in handling the bot problem.

I really just don't care anymore. I see them less and less as I advance through vet zones, so I will just learn to accept that starting a new character and playing without this constant frustration is a lost cause.

I will probably get bored and burn out much sooner because of this as alt-rolling was one of the main reasons I would stay with MMO's for long periods, but apparently the bean counters didn't factor that into their equations.

The most stupid part is that people who like the game enough to pay real money for gold are the ones supporting these bots that actually ruin the game...

Quick question: how can I click on a character so I can see its name to report? The bots go by so fast that trying to hold my reticle on them long enough to read the name is impossible.

Also in other games you can select a character and right click to do actions like whisper, invite, etc.

I have an add-on called Fast Report.
    Link to ESOUI Fast Report
It is able to capture a persons name as they pass by your reticle and hold said name beside a button on the screen or open with a hotkey . When you open Fast Report it gives you a template with

    Player-Name: (WhatEverTheName)
    Map / Location: (WhereEver)
    Approximate Position: [x:0.1], [y:0.1], [z:0.1]
    Time: 12:00:00

Very Handy tool for catching the flying bots, All you need to do is look at them :)

Thanks for the info. You'd think something this basic would be in the game though...

    No pain at all unfortunately.

We know that they're using stolen credit cards (hence why ZOS refunds them), and I'm sure that they'd be using proxy servers to hide the IP and even country. New email accounts can be automated. It'd probably be 5 minutes of inconvenience at most.

What has worked for me for a quick GM is create a post in the CS forum (here). Title the post GM Needed In (insert name here like Shadowfen) Path Bots. Then in the post try to tell them as close as possible where the bots are like XYZ Wayshrine go south to next town. Every time I have posted here about bots a GM has showed up within minutes.

I use to report in game and saw bots over and over in the same spot, flying around etc. Now I just come here and report and boom, GM shows up and deals with them.

Well, if they actually had to pay for the account it would benefit Zenimax and if they can ban them, the gold sellers are forced to buy another account. So, one would think that Zenimax would be putting a high amount of resources to catch & ban these gold sellers. Really would benefit them to ban as many as they can.

There is a small flaw in your logic sir ... If the gold sellers get banned and then buy a new account from Zenimax with a stolen credit card, then there are charges that incur in addition to the reversed charges for the product bought with said stolen credit card. Zenimax will end up losing money ... there is no profit for anyone but the gold seller scum.
