I a Perma ban due to code of conduct and I have no idea because... This is a long TLDR post

First off, I know it's not due to code of conduct. I just got off a 72-hour ban for name calling which was not even sexist, homophobic or racist so I have been on my best behavior. I received a cancel notice email right before it happened so I started thinking and talked to a few guildmates and I think I know why but I can explain.

I had forgotten about the auto charge thru PayPal, and it charged me around the same time I had manually made a purchase for some digital items with you guys.  I panicked because I noticed I was not going to have enough funds in the account. So, I put my chase credit card information into my ESO account and removed my PayPal, I had been meaning to do that anyways but had forgotten.  I sent an email requesting Bethesda to please charge my credit card and not my PayPal.  Then I emailed PayPal and requested they reverse that because I knew by the time anyone got to me it would most likely not matter because I would end up with a 30-dollar overdraft fee.

Looking at my PayPal, I was very careful and particular about which charge I requested be delt with. I wanted to make 100% it was the Subscription charge and not the purchase of digital items I had already received charge. had it been the items I already received that would be fraud and stupid, and stupid to think it would result in anything but being banned. However, the Subscription charge in which I had my cc ending in 6705 already plugged into my account could easily be charged for my subscription. I made sure that was already in there and a request sent for you guys to charge it and that I would be over drafted if it went thru with PayPal. I panicked because I was trying to avoid a 30-dollar overdraft. I thought I had it covered from all ends.

New card info plugged in.
A request sent to you to please charge that instead
A request for PayPal to not charge my credit union account
That request to PayPal specifically pointing to the unexpected charge and not the purchase I made.

Expected purchase pp id 3UV29476FG289415W
Unexpected charge pp id 42Y25515G63441021

I thought I would be fine, several days went by, I was charged 30 dollars anyways for being over drafted. Then today I received a notice from PayPal that I was going to receive a refund. I received an email saying sorry to see you cancel your membership. I logged off to have some Chinese food for dinner, went to log back in and banned for code of conduct.

I have a spotless payment history, can I catch a break here if this is indeed the reason?

Thank you.

I want to add that two identical charges, 1 is a charge know I made via the crown store and 1 I was not expecting which turned out to be my subscription renew.

I had my cc card on file and a request to charge that, I removed my PayPal from my zos account and made sure my credit card ending in 6705 was on file beforehand. I requested a reverse of the 14.99 that was auto charged, not the one I knowingly charged.

That is if this is even the issue, I'm guessing by reading some of the other posts that it is but I would have to only have 2 brain cells to think

A: I could play ESO as a plus member and steal services at the same time.

B: defraud a company whose services I was using and think I could still maintain an account on their servers.

I seriously hope you guys will open my account and just in case I went back to PayPal and sent 14.99 to ZOS as a payment just to cover all my bases however if my account is unbanned moving forward my credit card is the only way I want to pay... No more PayPal, it takes directly from my credit union, and it never does it right away, it always waits a few days and surprises me.

I wish I could post screen shots and show you. If you are on a tight budget and have to micromanage your finances and are poor at it than PayPal can be a doubled edge sword.

I know my first 14.99 purchase went thru but the automated 14.99 sub charge snuck thru I believe either the same day or next day of my purchase, that's what I don't remember. They can hit PayPal a day apart, but PayPal will post them both the same day and they appear on your bank or credit union account on the same day.

I used the help website form but not sure if it went thru, I received an email saying they would not respond and that it was a dupe ticket, but I never received a first response or acknowledgement.

Ok well all this worrying has me spamming this thread but I've provided everything but screen shots of my paypal and bank info... any help from staff would be welcomed.

I believe charge-backs are an automatic ban in ESO (and in most games), as they are considered fraud. If you received an email saying you were banned, follow the appeal process outlined and explain your situation thru that process.

    Good luck.

I contacted PayPal before they put the charge thru and at the same time contacted zos and told them I switched from PayPal and had my card on file, I was not committing fraud.

I sent them an email but have heard nothing back. Hence why I , like many others before me, came here to post

Called PayPal again and happy to know it did not incur an additional charge to zos. I tried to reverse the refund but they just don't reopen cases. My only bet was to call a phone number they gave me 410-568-**** since the one on the receipt does not work or use the send money option which for some reason gave me a RED ICON for ZOS instead of their business logo.

Not sure if my first ticket went thru , so I made one and made sure it went thru.
