Welcome to The Elder Scrolls Online PTS v12.1.2! This week, Solo Dungeons are live on PTS for testing. Test your skills in Moonhunter's Keep and March of Sacrifices and let us know how the solo experience is.

Toward the end of last week, the Combat Team communicated some changes coming in PTS Week 3 that are based on your feedback. Those changes are listed below with the rest of our combat adjustments for this week. We’ve been reading through your comments on the Combat Team messaging but would also like to get feedback once you’re able to hop in and play later today.

Lastly, EU Players, your character copies are now available on PTS. Thank you for providing feedback to improve U50 and Seasonal content for launch. This update is around 273.75MB in size. Thanks!

    • General
      • Fixed an issue where if you performed a light attack with a Two-Handed weapon in first person view, you would occasionally be pushed into third person view temporarily.
    • Buffs and Debuffs
      • Diseased: Fixed an issue where this status effect’s Minor Defile could become stuck on the primary target when the area damage triggered and applied Minor Defile to nearby enemies.
    • Classes
      • Dragonknight
        • Ardent Flame
          • Core of Flame: Reduced the resources granted from this skill and its morphs to 12% missing resource, down from 15% missing resource.
            • Hearth of Flame: Reduced the healing from this morph by 20%.
          • Lava Whip
            • Molten Whip: Seething Fury’s damage bonus to this skill is now halved in PvP.
            • Flame Lash/Power Lash: Reduced Power Lash’s damage by ~18%. This morph now grants 3% damage done to monsters for 45 seconds after generating charges.
        • Earthen Heart
          • Earthspike Mantle: This skill and its morphs’ now grant damage done to monsters, rather than any damage done. This is to account for Landslide buffs.
            • Shatterspike Mantle: Fixed an issue with the left arm spikes not appearing on some male models.
          • Landslide: This passive now stacks up to 12 times, up from 10. Adjusted how this passive stacks to generate once every 5|4 seconds, reduced from 10|5 seconds. The stacks now last for 6 seconds and decay by 1 if you fail to generate a stack once every 6 seconds, rather than decaying every 2 seconds if you fail to deal damage.

            [Developer Comment]
We're slightly lowering the maximum commitment time and gently upping the damage maximum here to help Dragonknights fit more into more encounters. Note the max stack increases and decay behavior also apply to Inexorable Descent naturally, also improving that effect slightly.
      • Necromancer
        • Bone Tyrant
          • Bone Goliath Transformation
            • Pummeling Bone Goliath: Increased the damage of this morph’s Bash override by ~73%. Increased the cooldown of the Bash to 1 second, up from 333ms.
          • Grave Lord
            • Frozen Colossus: Reduced the cost of this Ultimate and its morphs to 150, down from 175. Increased the damage of this Ultimate and Glacial Colossus by 12.5%. These buffs are temporary and will be reverted in Update 52 to make the bonuses higher but restricted to PvE.
              • Pestilent Colossus: Increased the damage of this morph's first hit by ~12.5%, its second hit by ~18%, and the final hit by ~23%. This morph now only guarantees Diseased on the final hit, rather than each hit.
          • Class Mastery
            • Nothing Wasted: This passive’s stacks now last for 12 seconds, down from 15, but decay two at a time, rather than 3. Overall this will add slightly more time before the stacks fully fall off after they have been maxed.
      • Nightblade
        • Siphoning
          • Strife: This skill and its morphs state that they grant 1% damage done per 10% current Health you have while they are active. This effect is WIP and will be active next PTS update.
      • Templar
        • Aedric Spear
          • Balanced Warrior: This passive now grants bonus Armor per Templar skill slotted (1|2% + 1|2% per Templar skill slotted), and Weapon and Spell Damage based on your total Armor and how many Templar skills you have slotted (.2% of your total sum Armor + (75 * the # of templar skills / 2) | .4% of your total sum Armor + 75 * # of Templar skills). This effect no longer has a cap.
        • Class Mastery
          • Judgment’s Brand: Increased this passive’s bonus to 1600, up from 1400.
      • Warden
        • Animal Companions
          • Swarm
            • Fetcher Infection: Increased this morph’s secondary cast to 75% bonus damage, up from 60%.
        • Winter’s Embrace
          • Arctic Wind
            • Arctic Blast: Increased the damage over time portion of this morph by ~20% per tick.
    • Guild
      • Mage’s Guild
        • Meteor
          • Ice Comet: Increased the damage over time of this morph by ~21% per tick. The snare now applies for 2 seconds on any damaging hit, rather than for 5 seconds only on the initial hit.
    • World
      • Werewolf
        • Gnash
          • Bloody Gnash: Fixed an issue where this morph did not benefit from Blood Hunger’s damage bonus as stated.

    jibnxtx5npfm.png
    • Item Sets
      • Class Sets
        • Aetheric Lancer: This set now procs its area effect 3.5 meters in front of you, rather than 5 meters in a random direction around you. Reduced the area effect size to 4 meters to match its visuals, down from 4.5 meters. Removed the reference of a cooldown since Burning Light cannot trigger twice within the previously mentioned cooldown window.

          [Developer Comment]
We're rewarding Templars who hold their ground with this set, as the changes mean the area will spawn on top of you if you are not moving.
    • Dungeon Sets
      • Draugrkin’s Grip: This set’s healing reduction now scales with the item quality and is now halved while Battle Spirit is active, to account for the bonus now reducing while it is active. Adjusted the 2- and 4-piece bonuses to Weapon and Spell Damage, rather than Max Magicka and Magicka Recovery.
    • PvP Sets
      • Critical Riposte: Fixed an issue where this set ignored its cooldown per target. This fix will cause the set to once again share a cooldown between all users. Increased the duration of the minor debuffs to 11 seconds, up from 9, to allow for the potential for 100% uptime.

    • March of Sacrifies Solo
      • Fixed: Tarcyr does not award gold when defeated.
      • Completing the Wyress encounter now spawns a chest by the exit door and grants experience.
    • Kyne’s Aegis
      • Lord Falgravn Hard Mode: Fixed Blood Anchors not being visible in some cases. Also added a telegraph to further highlight this attack’s area.

    sk0yuynoe4yw.png
    • High Seas of Tamriel
      • Tuindoril reached out to esteemed colleagues in the Antiquarian Society, and the magical protection extended by the Dwemer Diving Chamber now extends to assistants as well as other ally characters. You can now safely summon them in the depths of the Abecean Sea.
      • Out on the Gold Coast, Abecean Saltwater Fishing Holes should now last significantly longer before running out of fish, making it easier to successfully fish even in a crowd of hearty seafarers.
      • Tall Ship now as natural swaying for being in calm water.

    pnyplwurx9v2.png
    • Nowhere Vault
      • Fixed: Minor text issues associated with tradeable antiquity leads.
      • Fixed: Kingmaker's Trove antiquity was missing from a set of prior leads available in the Nowhere Vault.
    • Solo Dungeons
      • The Undaunted Key Container from Veya Thenim the Crest Merchant now requires "Taking the Undaunted Pledge" quest completion to purchase.
      • Made it more obvious why you can’t buy additional copies of unique items from Veya Thenim when you already have a copy in your inventory.

    752q72383ddc.png
    • Fixed: Sheogorad Chateau house to remove the falling ashes when in the “Clear” weather state.
    • Fixed: Zooming out the map while in the interior of the Grotto of Desires would show the wrong exterior map.

    detdnxm35qor.png
    • Nowhere Vault
      • Did a balance pass on the Nowhere Vault achievements, resulting in reduced requirements for several achievements:
        • Nowhere Vault Savant: Reduced required keys spent from 50 to 25
        • Heir to the Sage: Reduced required keys spent from 125 to 75
        • Garden Stroll (and related): This line is now a single achievement granted immediately upon entering the Meditative Garden.
        • Lucky Arrivals: Reduced stash room chest count from 50 to 10.
        • Fortune Favors the Persistent: Reduced stash room chest count from 100 to 20.

      • In the Murky Grotto or Eclipsed Hall your healing abilities will no longer target invisible objects.
      • Fixed: Eligible players in a group could fail to receive credit for completing the secondary objective in Murky Grotto.
      • Fixed: Ineligible players in a group could incorrectly receive credit for the timed activity associated with the secondary objective.
      • Fixed: You could be told you have acquired the secondary activity reward multiple times.
      • Bells in Eclipsed Hall can no longer be targeted by abilities other than light or heavy attacks. Hitting the bell will no longer keep the player in combat more than a few seconds.
      • It is now possible to repeat the secondary activity in the Arcanum Wing's Hunt of the Watchers and in the Cursed Castle’s Haunted Undercroft.
      • Adjusted the timing of lava geyser projectiles in Fungal Chasm to be more responsive. Recently-activated lava geysers now remain inactive for longer, and for a varied duration, before they can activate again. Certain areas are no longer in the range of lava geysers.
      • The Strangler Gas in Murky Grotto will no longer trigger your item sets.
      • In Sinking Courtyard, corrected an issue where secondary objectives in would provide an interact prompt after completion of the secondary activity. The activity also no longer shares credit across the area - each player must now perform the secondary activity for their own progress. The activity also no longer locks out for players who need it once progressed. Items associated with the activity in Sands now have collision.
      • Using the Shrill Whistle in Hunt of the Watchers plays the full animation now.
