Welcome to The Elder Scrolls Online PTS v12.1.1! This week, Nowhere Vault comes online for everyone to test. The Nowhere Vault is a sprawling collection of rooms suspended between realms. Three distinct wings await within, each featuring a randomized selection and order of challenges. It also has its own fair share of secrets!

Additionally, we have a fair amount of fixes for the rumor systems introduced last week. There are also some minor changes to combat and additional base game bug fixes.

A full list of changes is available below. If you have additional feedback, please use the feedback threads in the link here. Thanks all.

    The Nowhere Vault
This feature will be available starting this week (week 2) of the U51 PTS Cycle.
A strange creature known as Urli has appeared within Daggerfall’s Thieves Den, inviting anyone in possession of Wonderous Nowhere Keys to enter the Nowhere Vault. Those who accept must face the trials of Urli’s master, Sage Voernet, for a chance to claim the treasures hidden within.
The Nowhere Vault is a sprawling collection of rooms suspended between realms. Three distinct wings await within, each featuring a randomized selection and order of challenges. Puzzles, stealth encounters, navigational obstacles, combat challenges, and more stand between you and the rewards found in each room.
But there is more to the Vault than its challenges. Secret objectives are hidden throughout its rooms, each connected to the Sage’s greatest treasure. Only by uncovering these secrets and discovering how they relate to the Vault can you hope to claim the prize for yourself.

    Accessing the Vault
To enter the Nowhere Vault, you must have at least one Wonderous Nowhere Key in your inventory. Once you have acquired a key, travel to Daggerfall’s Thieves Den and seek out the portal leading into the Vault.
You can also accept the quest “Invitation to Treasures” from the Quest Starters section of the Crown Store to be directed to the Vault’s entrance.
The Nowhere Vault can be explored alone or with a group.

    Playing the Vault
Upon entering the Vault, you can choose from three different wings, each containing its own randomized selection of challenges.
Using a Wonderous Nowhere Key unlocks one room within the selected wing. Only one player needs to use a key to open the path forward for the entire group. Once opened, all group members can enter the room and attempt its challenge together.
Each standard challenge room requires one Wonderous Nowhere Key to unlock.
In addition to standard challenge rooms, two special types of rooms may appear during your journey:
    • Story Rooms: These rooms reveal additional information about the Vault and its inhabitants. They may also contain treasure chests and clues connected to the Vault’s secrets.
    • Jackpot Rooms: After completing a wing, you have a chance to enter one of two Jackpot Rooms while exiting the Vault. These rooms are filled with valuable treasures, crafting resources, or other rewards.
Story Rooms and Jackpot Rooms do not require a Wonderous Nowhere Key to exit and continue your journey.

    Nowhere Chests
Hidden throughout the Nowhere Vault are special Nowhere Chests containing unique treasures.
Opening a Nowhere Chest requires a Wonderous Nowhere Key, so keep an eye out while exploring each room and decide whether the rewards within are worth spending an additional key.

    Wonderous Nowhere Keys
With the opening of the Nowhere Vault, all existing Unformed Planar Keys will be converted into Wonderous Nowhere Keys.
Wonderous Nowhere Keys are tradeable and can be sold through Guild Stores.
Keys can be acquired uncommonly from a variety of activities throughout Tamriel, including:
    • Heists
    • Thieves Troves
    • Delves and World Bosses
    • Treasure Chests
    • Favors
    • Dynamic Encounters
    • Rumors
    • Solo Dungeons

    The Secrets of the Vault
Keep a careful eye on each of the Vault’s rooms, as nearly all of them contain a hidden secret objective.
These objectives are tracked through associated Rumors, allowing you to review your progress and see which secrets you have already uncovered.
You may also discover additional hints throughout the Vault that can help you understand its mysteries and determine how its secrets are connected.

    • For week two of PTS, both templates start you in Glenumbra, outside the Daggerfall Outlaws Refuge. Head inside to find and explore the Nowhere Vault!
    • Template fixes:
      • Removed a small number of unattainable collectibles that appeared in template containers, and corrected some placeholder text on these containers.
      • The “Wardrobe of High Seas Outfits” container now has the appropriate salty outfit styles, instead of styles related to Heart’s Week.

    • Invitation to Treasures – Crown Store Bestowal for Nowhere Vault
      • Players cannot currently accept the quest from the Crown Store unless they’ve completed the Glenumbra Thieves Guild Questline. This will be fixed in PTS 3.
      • For now, simply go into the Daggerfall Outlaw Refugee, into the Thieves Den, and talk to Urli directly in the backroom to start the quest.

    • General
      • Fixed an issue that caused some encounters to reset if there was an unattackable pet active while the encounter started.
      • We missed two bulleted items in this note from last week’s patch notes. The following skills now break Stealth and Invisibility, to ensure they are consistent with other skill type activations and align with their visuals for a more believable/grounded experience.
        • Bone Goliath and Morphs
        • Frozen Gate and Morphs
    • Class
      • Templar
        • Aedric Spear
          • Balanced Warrior: This passive now grants a flat amount of Weapon and Spell Damage based on your total Armor stat (Physical + Spell Resistance, .5%|1% of each), up to a cap of 250|500, rather than granting 3|6% Weapon and Spell Damage.

            [Developer Comment]
This change is a bit early as it's originally planned with future ideation of the Templar kit in mind - but we've heard a lot of feedback about how the loss of Weapon and Spell Damage in solo application is felt, as well as the class lagging a little further behind others. This won't solve those problems entirely, but this should at least give a slight boost to help out the class based on your feedback where the new Armor effect from Illuminate is no longer a damage buff.
    • Class Mastery
      • Arcanist
        • Fate Realigned: Fixed an issue where this passives bonus did not properly apply stats.
      • Warden
        • Tundra's Maw: Increased the duration of this passive's source of Major Brittle to 2.1 seconds to fix many issues with rapid reapplication.
    • Guild
      • Psijic Order
        • Imbue Weapon
          • Imbue Weapon and its morphs now last for 6 seconds, up from 2. These skills now can activate off Heavy Attacks in addition to Light Attacks. These skills no longer refund their costs if they end early (as they are now harder to fail to activate within their longer window).
            • Crushing Weapon: This morph's source of Major Breach now lasts for 6 seconds, up from 5.
          • Elemental Weapon: Fixed an issue where the damage bonus added to this morph applied to all damage rather than only weapon attacks.
    • World
      • Werewolf
        • Insatiable Hunger: Reverted the restrictions put on this synergy to account for the numerous unique situations where you may want to use the synergy. The reduced priority will stay however, so it should still at least be a minor improvement from live in regard to how often it covers other synergies.

    a2q78gzz5kzd.png
    • Item Sets
      • Class Sets
        • Pyrebrand: This set now grants a stack of Landslide, up to once every 10 seconds, when it activates.
      • Trial Sets
        • Mora Scribe’s Thesis: Increased the amount of Critical Chance per Major Buff to 154, up from 128, to account for the loss of some named effects. The cap remains the same (1536). Fixed numerous issues with how this set calculated the number of Major and Minor effects you had active. This fix will also disable your character sheet from showing what stats it is granting (it still applies to combat events, the calculation is checked when this is queried by the combat handler to be determined by the server - while your client has an independent way of handling queries, which is why it often produces conflicting results from the actual outcome managed by the server).
      • PvP Sets
        • Oakfather’s Retribution: Similarly to Mora Scribe’s, increased the effectiveness of this set to account for loss of named effects (as well as all the bug fixes). Increased Offensive Penetration granted to 533 per Major, up from 449. Increased Weapon and Spell Damage granted to 31 per Minor, up from 20. This set will no longer apply to your character sheet and produce confusing results.
      • Solo Dungeon Sets
        • Mylenne Moon-Caller: This set now requires direct damage with class abilities or Werewolf attacks, instead of any damage (mainly to reduce passive nature in PvP). Increased this set's base damage done by ~16%. This set now deals up to 100% bonus damage to monsters based on how full your Stamina is. Fixed an issue where the Stamina restore was properly calculated (did not increases based on Critical hits, etc).
        • Tarcyr: Reduced the duration of Major Cowardice applied from this set to 3 seconds, down from 4. Removed the cooldown per target of this set.

      • Runaway Property: Added more information to the final rumor hint in this line.
      • Azrashul's Legacy: Updated multiple hints to be more clear and revised redundant text.
      • True Heir: Replaced the word ‘lawyer’ with ‘barrister’ throughout this rumor.
      • Mysterious Dreamer: You can no longer trigger the ending scene without actually completing the final action. Moved one of the Traveler's Journals to a bridge in the Rift and not in Riften then clarified the hints to direct you to bridges in the Rift which is accurate.
      • Bumps in the Night: Constables will no longer disappear while this rumor is in progress. Monsters relevant to the rumor have added visuals to draw attention to them.
      • Tilli the Gossip: Revised text to match the spoken dialogue.
