With new werewolf skill styles being possible how do you guys feel about werewolf having strictly cosmetic forms like werebear or werelions being made available from dynamic quest or crown store since they could fit in the lore. How would yall feel about it?
We already have several polymorphs that swap out the humanoid model for Minotaurs or Spriggans or something that has a different model but is still rigged the same and can do the same animations. Werebears could easily be ported over the wolf model, and it’d fit fine. There was a Skyrim mod that did just that and it was perfect.
I’d easily pay bank for a brown Grizzly werebear. My Warden is canonically a werebear, and it’s sad that his wereform doesn’t look right.
Besides, we have werebears in ESO already… technically. Dagrund the Bulky (3rd boss March) is canonically a werebear, he just never transforms.
New were-models, other than the female Werewolf, are not currently being discussed. New models require new rigs and animations, all of which have a significant impact on memory and performance.
The priority should be on finishing the Class Refresh before adding other werebeast models, since those require new rigs and animations, and the animation budget is the reason Werewolf didn't get sneaking animations in Update 50 — the other Classes need new animations.
We should instead ask to see these other werebeasts as enemies in the game first, before asking for the option to look like them.
