Will all components of the High Seas Event entail underwater content?

So reading through the section for this of the Patch Notes, it sounds like everything to do with it will have you go underwater at some point. For the Daily Quest does completion depend on that component?

I ask because I have serious sensory issues when it comes to certain visuals in games and unfortunately underwater content is one of them. It bothers me so deeply to the point where I cannot look at the screen. Like if a screenshot or a video while scrolling through YouTube Shorts pops up and it's something underwater it gives me a horrible jolt of adrenaline (you can imagine the image for the Patch Notes wasn't pleasant for me to get jumpscared by lol).

I'm just wondering if this is going to be an Event I'm SoL over in terms of not being able to get Trade Bars or other rewards from. Sensory issues are ass.

From what they showed on stream a while ago, there's a boat fight for the daily itself, and then underwater exploration is where many of the rewards, surprises and unlocks are. We'll know more next week when it's added to PTS for week 2.

You could likely use reshader to adjust the visuals to be more to your preferences but you can also test how things are inside the graven deep dungeon - It's the same underwater bubble system

I talked with the team a bit on this one.

You won't be able to complete a voyage without going underwater, but you should be fine doing the initial quest (which unlocks the amazing hat collectible) and the ship combat portion.

Underwater content in eso is basically just overwater content slowed down with underwater visuals.... nothing like gw2 diving where you move in a 3 dimensional plane...
