Nowhere key well named

So no surprise even after grinding troves, boxes and chests, no key. So runners. Is there someway to find out how many favors you have done for any particular patron? And is a key really guaranteed to drop on the tenth one?

I would like to at least see what one looks like.

You will get one key from each board once you've done 10 quests from that board. Supposedly they drop from the 20th too, but I'm not that far in yet, so can't confirm. I do not know a way to keep track of how many free runner quests/board have been done other than not deleting the "mail" from each one and counting them. There is no way to determine how many by looking at the achievement. The achievement is all or nothing for some reason. No counter to tell us where we are in the progression.

You can go to Quest Journal->Correspondence. It's tracked per character. The character below did not do any, but my main has been doing them every day.

Thank you for posting this. I did not know they could be tracked this way. Going to log in and see where I'm at and if this works or not right now.

I've already done 24... I don't know how many per...

The tomes challenge is bugged in a sense that it counts retrieving a key from the bank as acquiring one. I suspect there is even more than that since I got 4 keys (3 from favors and 1 from a treasure trove), banked each once, did not take any out, and somehow my challenge sits at 9/10.

Many people have been reporting this issue here on the forums.

I have 3 keys from the favour quests, and had none from anywhere else. I put the 3 in the bank for safety and never took them out, and the challenge is still showing 5/10.

So, it's not just retrieval from the bank there is another bug somewhere. At first I thought it might be because you get 2 during the TG quests, but distinctly remember checking to see if they counted and they didn't. Just to be sure I asked friends if they had completed the quests, those that had were showing 0.

So, it's not just retrieval from the bank there is another bug somewhere.

I think the bug is bugged. I noticed that the count was sometimes increased by 1, sometimes by 2 when interacting with the bank. Even when removing/adding all 3 at once.

I do not have the Correspondance category on ANY of the toon's , including the ones with the actual correspondence in the mail

Has this been passed on to the dev team as being a problem? I seem to remember seeing it was going to be sent to them but afaik there's been no update on what's going on with the drop rate for these things. The only thing we know for sure is they aren't supposed to be this rare, according to what Jason said in the last livestream.

The thing is that every other major bug that didn't make it into the incremental is slated for U51. That's a bit concerning in light of the PTS delay, as I said here:

It could be that it is in the pipeline. We don't find out about incrementals until something shows up in patch notes and I'd be looking for the next incremental early next week. We do know that the repetition reduction is set for Update 51 because ZOS announced that. Incrementals, like all patches, need to have the 2 week console certification cycle. That means that if something is found after the patch is submitted, it won’t be able to make it in.

That would make sense to have no patches from July 20 through Aug 31 if U51 dropped on the original date. But now that U51 is likely coming on Sept 28, that means we have a whole month that there will be no incremental patch and these bugs that are just sitting there.

So I have now done more than 30 favors including more than 10 for one of the patrons. Those were spread over multiple toons and till no key. Still no key drop for finishing the thieves guild questline either, it's been over a week now.

So the last thing to try is 10 favors for one patron done with one toon and that will take a few days.

It is very aggravating to have been told that "keys are all over Tameral" and to have spent over a week looking the places I was told to look without getting a single one!

The 20th quest for Lady Arabella in Glenumbra is currently bugged - it is impossible to complete, so I only have 5 keys. Very frustrating.

You need to do 10 quest for each board on the same character or it doesn't count.

My question is doing it with multiple character will allow you to farm nowere keys?

Good thing there's 3 months left on this season because I refuse to do favors on more than 1 character. So tedious. They'll fix the drop rate or implement it as intended eventually.

I saw this and thought, great some information, thank you!!! I then checked one account and it was not there, I checked the other account and it was there!

a few hours laTER I WAS EXPLAINING TO A FRIEND, and they did not have it, so i stopped what i was doing and went to the account where it was... low and behold its not there on that one now either....

Testing over the weekend, I think you get 1 drop from treasure map chests a day. I am at 7 collected now. 3 from Favours, and 4 from 4 days of treasure maps.

Did you do each 10 on the same board on the same toon? For example, if you did 10 on the same toon for Arabelle, but, say, 3 on one toon and 7 on another for the other two boards, you would get only 1 key.

Did you search for Nowhere key? The actual name is the Unformed Planar key:

How many treasure maps per day did you do? I've opened several treasure map chests. None contained keys.

Done 30 favors quests .no keys, opened probably 20 ish thieves troves..no keys. Looted hundreds of treasure chests..no keys
Going to try some maps ..and I am predicting it will be a waste of time.

It would be nice to get any kind of word back on whether the drop rates for these have been passed on to the devs yet or not. Granted we still have a while before the Nowhere Vault goes live, so there should be time to get it sorted out well before then so people can actually start earning them like we were told we'd be able to.
