Why? Crown store

If ESO devs are thinking of 'how can we do things better' - why not make all crown items available permanently after they have been released?
Or at least open it up during events. Not 'last seen 3 years ago in crown store' - ESO may not have that much time to wait 3 more years for a 'returning item'

Your last sentence is the reason I think when I'll see every item permanently available in the store I'll know ESO will not last much longer.

Don't get me wrong, I'd very much appreciate it, but... It won't likely happen until they will know closure will be near. And at that point I don't know if you'll want to spend anymore.

Sales are time limited to drive up impulsive buys. If you don't have all year to think about buying or not you're more inclined to buy now (rather than later or never).

Might be quite overwhelming with the nr of items....trade bazar is a good idea but the selection is too meager and the updates too scarce.

Yes, agreed. I despise everything about the current implementation. I would have spent much more in the Crown Store over the years if everything was available all the time.

I do not agree that it would be overwhelming. You simply browse when you have time and buy what you like. If someone finds that overwhelming that is their problem.

Ok I see the point with impulse buying hence i said make them available during events or some window but at least a few times a year. Not wait 5 years to bring it back

Absolutely. It has been suggested many times to have all year covered with 15 days per returning crown crate season. Not a day without a returning crate. But it seems marketing team at ZOS doesn't think this would be profitable.

It's not the cost of bringing it back, it's how many crowns will get spent on it.

Main point should be that its all old items, that have already been in the store either once or multiple times at some point and it's about time that they just put all of them on there either in the crown store or in the bazar because honestly, the game is just barely on its last legs as it stands and might not be around for much longer at this rate.

Leave all the new crates/items as the big Ooh-look-at-me feature with a limited time offer.

---Old content should not require fomo -.-

Here to repeat my suggestion that they release EVERYTHING during a black friday sale every year. They get their FOMO and we don't have to wait 3 or 4 years for digital toys to return. It's absurd that you don't let your customer base enjoy their pixils for that amount of time.

Also for every dollar FOMO makes, there are probably some number of people with regret and resentment. It's a practice that works but not one that should be celebrated. It's predatory at heart.

Also imagine all the money they could be making instead if people had access to buying what they want but sometimes never returns before they quit the game.

exactly my point! instead of sitting around thinking 'err how could we boost revenue? '
make PRE-EXISITING ITEMS (with zero development effort!) more frequently purchasable??

We had the same argument for the crown store houses that never came up for sale after years. They seem to be rotating them around faster now, so maybe you can get your wish in some form.

But don't wait! Act now and receive a second item absolutely free! Just pay separate shipping and handling.

If I am not mistaken, The Devs said that they are addressing this issue by adding the Gold Coast Bazaar to the game.

It is supposed to allow us to purchase limited-time collectible rewards from the past, as well as new items and I thought they had said that they were planning on releasing a lot of the "this item has not been seen in __ months" type items into the Bazaar as an alternative way for us to get them.

Yes, thats true, the odd piece here and there from old events in the past and maybe 1-2 crate items, but never a full crate of items with their radiant apex mounts for example and the biggest problem on the crown store is the crates, the gaps between them rotating is literal years.

The seasonal 1 golden bazar right now is well.. tbh, lackluster. There is more statuettes from old ESOplus and housing items in general than anything else.. its quite naked when you look at it. There was alot more variety in season 0.. what happened to it lol

Did someone sneeze and hit send and forgot to add more lol

Quite true! The trade bazaar is there for that. Why don't they put more of the past crown store items in it ? I was expecting large updates and I am disappointed.

ESO FOMO makes any gacha-related FOMO blush.

The Season One Bazaar update is extremely meh. I bought only the /plantyourself emote and that's about it.
I will sit on my Trade Bars for the forseeable future it seems.

Things like that make me wonder if I'll have a chance to buy Nocturnal Styles: Night's Crows pack.
When it was first released last Halloween, I had other things o my plate to take care of and didn't receive my paycheque before the pack was gone.

My only hope is that it's going to return in 3 months or so for this year's Halloween, much like New Life Styles: Winter returns each December.

But seeing how many things just come and never come back, or come back so randomly you blink and miss it is not encouraging.
I play some other MMO that is stable, just as old as ESO, and the items for purchase actually stay long enough for you to buy them.
