Season One Tamriel Tome Weekly Challenge List (work in progress)

27 Weekly Challenges: there may be more. Contributions of missing entries are most welcome - please give screenshots and provide details in your response.

Week 1: 121 observations, via 15 accounts.

Edit: I have received feedback of double claims observed on the “Loot X”, “Collect X” and “Complete X” type of weekly challenges. This is assumed to take effect when all Tome pages have been unlocked. It also seems to be randomly applied, not every weekly challenge upgrades to the double claim version, so the list was seen to contain a mix of both regular claim and double claim weekly challenges. I am not sure if this is the intended outcome or not, ZOS would have to clarify on this.

Note: take Week 1 observations with a grain of salt, and the “chance” figures as just for fun. Total number of observations should be higher by Week 4 (400-500).

For comparison, 4 weeks of observations in Season Zero is provided here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/690464/weekly-tome-challenge-tome-points-rewards/p2

Thank you.

So glad they got rid of the ones to kill specific world bosses! Hope this trend continues.

All I know is that I'm rerolling any "collect ingredients" ones. I'm burned out on those from the last tome.

The one for completing the thieves guild finders quest seems odd. If you only play one character, it's impossible to complete in a week. Even with more characters, you have to have done a certain part of the original thieves guild quest line before you can pick up the quests.

For a majority of players, this is very true. Completing the entire challenge requires 24 runs. One suggestion is to form a group with your friends or guild and share quests. It will require 6 days of grouping up with 4 quests shared per day to complete them all. To be faster, use multiple characters.

As we are in week 1, not completing any weekly challenge has no impact as all players can use week 2 to continue working through them (week 1 at five, then week 2 at ten). Week 3 onwards though… will be a challenge (pun intended).

Spencer Rye’s daily quest prerequisite is the first part of the original Thieves Guild quest “Partners in Crime”. Once that is done Spencer will appear and on completing his initial quest “The Sailors Pipe”, his Tip Board will be made available (im paraphrasing for the benefit of readers unaware of the specifics - this is not directed at you Azura - im sure you are perfectly familiar with all of the above).

The description of the "Complete 6 Guild Quests" states: "Complete any guild daily quests. Thieves Guild dailies offer bonus progress."

This is somewhat misleading. The heist did offer double progress, but the Spencer Rye mission did not (though it did offer regular progress). Either this should specify heists only, or it is a bug.

Sacraments as well as the basic Mages, Fighters, and Undaunted dailies all counted. Pledges did not, though I can see no reason why they should not count as Guild dailies since they are daily quests offered by the Undaunted.

Is there anything else that might count; does anyone know?

    (Edit for typo.)

I have received feedback that having an active Premium Tamriel Tome can double the number of claims, mostly observed on the “Loot X”, “Collect X” and “Complete X” type of weekly challenges. It also seems to be randomly applied, not every weekly challenge upgrades to the double claim version, so the list was seen to contain a mix of both regular claim and double claim weekly challenges. I am not sure if this is the intended outcome or not, ZOS would have to clarify on this.

The double claim isn't for just Premium Tomes but rather all tiers, including Free, and it only applies when you've unlocked all 12 Pages. I'm guessing you already have them all unlocked (at least largely) because of the bug that applied whatever spare Points you had at the end of last Season to this Season as well before they got converted to Gold.

Weird that it's only applying to some of them, though...

Thank you all for the feedback on Season One's Weekly Challenges! The Tomes team wanted to follow up and provide clarity on a few items this thread.

The double Weekly Challenge repeats this early in the Season is due to this issue. It will be fixed in Update 51 for future Seasons.

Regarding the "Complete Thieves Guild Finder Quests" Weekly Challenge, the team unintentionally tuned this number too high. Starting with Update 51, this Weekly Challenge will require one Finder Quest with up to three total repeats, meaning you will only have to do three of the four every week if you wish to complete this Weekly Challenge.

The team will also look into why Undaunted Pledges do not count towards the "Complete Guild Daily Quests" Weekly Challenge.

A quick update, the Undaunted Pledges should now count towards the "Complete Guild Daily Quests" Weekly Challenge starting with Update 51.

To add a bit to this issue, I just finished today's guild dailies and all three counted for that challenge. Spencer Rye's daily in Hew's Bane counted twice (I think that is intentional based on the tooltip), but the Daggerfall Reacquisition daily only counted once and it doesn't count at all for progressing the Finder quests challenge. The Dragonguard daily didn't count at all.
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

@ZOS_Amy One additional oddity and I'm unsure if it's intentional or not, but I just completed a Daggerfall Reacquisition mission. As expected, it counted for the Guild Daily challenge (twice) and not for the Finder challenge. The odd bit was that I got an Abah's Watch motif chapter from it rather than a Koldane Cartel chapter. Usually the Abah's Watch stuff drops from Hew's Bane, so getting on in Glenumbra struck me as odd. I'm not complaining since I've got an alt who is missing that particular chapter and it will end up in a good home, but if chapter drops from board missions are going to be 50/50 between different motifs, a heads-up would have been nice.

Just to chime in. I got the normal challenges when the new season started. But then every re-roll I did was double and got one thieves related on for 1200!! I though something was bugged when I got that on my first re-roll. Then notice all my re-rolls was doing that and the new weekly challenges was double. Then on a hunch, I had the old post bookmark, followed the profile to see if any new posts was made and found this one.
