As we get ready to launch Season One this week, we wanted to reaffirm our commitment to The Elder Scrolls Online.

Our team’s immediate focus is on launching Season One, which we're all excited for you to jump in.

Looking beyond Season One, the roadmaps we previously shared will be shifting. We want to take the time to evaluate the work in front of us and then lock down an updated schedule. While we'd love to share a concrete details today, stepping back to get our plans straight will let us come back to you with a clear timeline.

This game is nothing without you, our community. Thank you for sticking with us, and for everything you bring to Tamriel.

I understand if the timeline is no longer realistic and that some of the future planned features may no longer be possible. I don't know who we're able to talk with on here anymore besides you but I just want the whole team to know that we all appreciate everything you've done.

It’s hard to feel positive about the game and its future after all the layoffs. My heart goes out to everyone that got let go and to everyone still around to pick up the pieces and bow down to your Microsoft overlords with a big, fake smile.

I think it's plausible that these lay-offs actually contributed to the downtime last night.

ESO is incredible, and even though I may take breaks, I always come back to it. That's because of the love, care, and attention your team puts into this game through their work. Knowing the hype surrounding the new roadmap, I'm shocked to see people getting laid off, and through some snooping, I'm dismayed to see some of the types of people getting laid off. It's not just middle managers or excessive layers of bureaucracy-- it's the QA, combat designers, environment artists...

I just came back because of your roadmap for the future, and knowing now the people working on it are getting cut by a company that's billions in the green is really heartbreaking.

You all deserved better. I'm so sorry.

Lately with the great direction the team has been on I've been comfortable investing a bit of my disposable income in ESO. You guys have been doing a great job. While I still believe in the remaining team this makes me hesitant to continue.
