So in the latest dev stream they told us that antuiquity lead sourcing would be "updated" making the older ones more in line with the newer zones ...

Which is a BAD thing not a good thing

As someone who is trying to 100% the full games codex.. the difficulty increase that happends when you reach Blackwood and newer increases ten fold >>

So why would they try and make the older stuff be more in line witht the newer zone leads ? I thought they wanted it to be easier ?

It took me a month to get every lead in the game 3/3 - 15/15 etc all the way up until Blackwood then it dropped of DRASTICALLY. Im now on to High Isle and these leads are awful ...

Ive done way over 60 Mages guild dailies tryna get my second Meteoric Beads to drop for the sea serpents coil and still nothing..

So I don't get why they would want to make it harder ?

IF anything they should give the newer leads the same drop chances as the base game stuff to make it easier...

The lead drop rates post-High Isle were absolutely horrendous for the second and third codices, yes. So what I understand is that they're going to make the drop rates equivalent to the first codex, and then make them all drop at that rate, subsequent codices included.

That's what I gathered from reading all the posts about it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

well i have definitely gotten more Z'en idols in Blackwood than Dwarven Star Chart in Stros M'kai or Font of Auri-El in Western Skyrim.
i still need to find those last 2 a second time, their drop chance is horrendous like dlc Treasure Map leads.

Yeah, that was pretty much my understanding, too. Getting the first leads wasn't too difficult, but it was a bit grindy since there always seem to be one or maybe two which don't drop quickly/easily, but it was the codex stuff where people would grind for months and still not be able to get 3/3 or whatever on all of them. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly numbers 2 and 3 dropped for Shattered Paths, so I'm hoping that the rest are going to be more in line with that. Still waiting on that last piece of the Daedric Enchanting Station from Atoll of Immolation and that's been close to five years for the first lead (transparency: absolutely not grinding that; just an every now and then attempt).
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

For anybody to have a true understanding of lead drops you would have to put yourself through getting them all

    100% THIS

Getting all 15/15 for the Shattered Paths Signet was a cake walk compared to most other mythics in the game hopefully they make it that easy for all the furnishing gold leads and mythics too :P

West Weald and Solstice were significantly easier to find all the non-map leads than the previous few chapters. I think that's what they're referring to.

I've completely finished non-map leads for all but 1 antiquity in WW/Solstice, and that's just because I hate slogging through Maelstrom Arena and haven't put much time into it... In the meantime, I'm STILL grinding away leads in High Isle, Telvanni Peninisula, and Apocrypha.

that is how i understood it too - map leads for 2 and 3 of codex will be as easy as one. i hope that goes for codex 2/3 for all leads. makes sense - why penalize ppl for trying to complete the codexes? Solstice and WW map leads were easy the first time, but after that the maps i bought from IA were a complete waste of currency.

Great, so I'm stuck running dungeons 20-60x for each lead until codex. NOT an improvement.

YES that is how long it takes for a FIRST lead drop, without "guaranteed on first run."
