PTS Delay / PTS Cycles

With the delay to PTS, now would be the perfect time to take another look at the severely imbalanced allocation of server sync on the PTS. Right now, NA gets PTS for about 8 weeks a year. This means that NA gets less time with all the things, whether that be housing, build testing, character tweaking, bug testing, you name it. EU gets the PTS the rest of the year.

I understand that it was flipped in years past, with EU getting the short end of the stick. I want to be clear that I am not advocating for returning to that cadence either. Instead, flip who syncs first per quarter. Or do it half/half. This should create better parity between the two server regions and allow both sets of players to have time to engage with this system.

As it stands, I'm not downloading an entire second copy of the game onto my hard drive for 8 weeks a year.

PTS is currently PCNA and has been for over a month and I assume will remain so until the next pts cycle. Is this a one off or is this the new standard? Are they planning on rotating or has the balanced switched to favouring NA?
There are certainly questions that I wish they would answer and it is something I think is important. But we should also acknowledge that this last pts cycle was different than the last couple of years so there does appear to be at least the possibility of change.

Oh, interesting. My understanding has been that it's been NA for 2 PTS patches, then swaps to EU and EU stays dominant until the next cycle.

I missed the first couple weeks of the last PTS cycle. When I checked the patch notes, v12.0.2 indicated EU characters were the copied version and v12.0.3 or v12.0.4 notes didn't indicate a swap back so I didn't bother downloading and checking since it's been this way for years.

Yeah, they went NA for the long haul this time, which was welcome.

It was because Week 5 of PTS, they wanted to do some backend stuff for future crossplay, so they recopied NA. And as that was the last patch, we actually got to keep it for once.

I would like to see it switch around though. Sometimes EU should get the first pass at things and sometimes NA should get the long haul. And sometimes the opposite.
