Two Companions: hear me out..

What if there was a mythic that allowed you to have two companions out at the same time. Thoughts? I purely want this for possible Zerith-var and Ember interactions. Imagine the house parties with those two! 😂😼

i would love to have multiple Companions summoned at the same time, but no this should not be part of a Mythic.
it should simply be an option

I think it would create too much chaos if every player had 2 or more companions with them, especially during events when there are large groups farming bosses.

    I'd make it as a 2-stage star in a Companion-focused Champion sub-constellation under Craft (Stage 0 = 1 Companion, Stage 1= 2 Companions, Stage 2 = 3 Companions).

That sub-constellation should also allow us to increase their stats (Health, Damage, Resistances, Skill Cooldowns, etc.) even further than what we have with Companion gear, Telvanni Efficiency and Shared Burden sets.

Not being down on the idea, but I am definitely imagining the fallout from having more than one active companion: "They need to talk to each other! Give us some of that inter-party banter!"
I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

I think it would be cool if Companions had interactions with one another, especially since we like these characters and want to introduce them to one another and see what they'd say. And, as far as combat goes, having two Companions in your party would allow you to specialize roles or double down on a particular role.

But that would take away resources that could go towards other things, like new Companions or characters in storylines. Having multiple Companions could break the balancing of Solo Dungeons and would put more stress on the servers and player clients.

I think a good compromise would be a specialized place for interacting with Companions, or at least Houseguest versions of them, where the Companion characters don't follow you around and do combat or anything, but rather allow you to talk to them to initiate specialized dialogue. Think of this like your Companions resting at a campfire, where you can talk to them about your other Companions or maybe get into dialogues with several characters at the same time. At the very least, hearing passive dialogue from your Companions talking amongst themselves would be nice.

Can we first get Serana? Because lorewise it would work, she only gets locked away at the end of the second era. Also who doesn't want a vampire companion?

A while ago I've suggested this same thing as an unlockable reward to a joint-companion quest. For example having high enough rapport and story progress between 2 companions gives you access to a new quest that involves both to give them special interactions and completing that quest would allow you to specifically summon the pair at the same time.

I would love having two companions out just for role play. Sharp and Mirri are my main’s besties, it would be fun if they could travel together.

For gameplay balance though... idk, maybe they could debuff your companions if you have two summoned, and automatically dismiss the second in areas with too many other players.

I wouldn’t want it tied to a mythic though. I doubt I’d give up a useful mythic slot for an extra companion.

I wouldn't want multiple companions out in shared areas like overland. I would have loved to be able to group with 3 companions for dungeons (as long as their combat AI was improved), but they've gone the solo dungeon route instead (which is good - not knocking it - it was another option).

I'm LOL'ing a bit over the suggestion, but only because you've already got Serana, or at least her voice actor. Laura Bailey is Isobel's voice actor.

You've had nature explained to you and you're bored with it, you've had the living body explained to you and you're bored with it, you've had the universe explained to you and you're bored with it, so now you want cheap thrills and, like, plenty of them....

I would love to have multiple companions with me in a group dungeon, absolutely. In overland where there is companion commentary, perhaps only the first companion speaks? Or can they make a random conpanion speak? I don't think it would be pleasant to have both/all companions speaking their lines in unison.

And whilst I enjoy companion interaction in games like Dragon Age, I don't think player-companion interaction in ESO is fleshed out enough for them to even start working on companion to companion interaction. I'd prefer them to just focus on adding companion quests, dialogue and romance. I really enjoyed hearing companion comments on our quests, and it would be fantastic for them to have more lines to say in general.

I would like it if we could use up to three companions inside group dungeons. Out in the world I’m fine with one personally.
