How should Alliance Lock with multiple Alliance Locked campaigns work?

If we had more than one Alliance Locked campaign, should they share the same alliance that you are locked to, or should you be allowed to be locked to different factions on a per-campaign basis?
For example, if Gray Host locked us into Daggerfall Covenant, should another Alliance Locked campaign automatically lock us to Daggerfall Covenant because of our choice in Gray Host, or should we get to choose which alliance we want to be locked into for that second Alliance Locked campaign?

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them
