Just realized there is a biiig jump in point requirements to level past 50... would have been nice to get at least the whole outfit till 50.

We got 6 months to do it, and the level jump from 50 seems to be the same to 100. If you PvP regularly you'll get all the rewards without needing to grind or anything.

for me the point requirements to the next level basically double past 50... before its like 80k, 51 and higher is like 170k

for somebody that doesnt regularly pvp and just wants to level to a hundred it feels a bit demotivating because of the big jump tbh

Yes, but it doesn't keep going up. 170k'ish is the cap by the look of it.

I get that it's intimidating numbers, but you got to 50 in 2 weeks? About 65-67 is the halfway point. This is meant to last us 6 months.

We can also say we'll get at least one Whitestrakes, where we get double AP. By the look of the other veterancy thread we had Tortes, and hopefully other AP buffs, effect the rank we get on veterancy. Throw in those BG weekend things where we get buffs to AP too. I'm not even sure it'll take 3 months as a casual PvPer.

Longer event times means less grind. Much like the Tomes system. These are good things! Anything to eliminate or reduce farming.

It's not as bas as it looks. AP has a fluctuating conversion depending on activity. Somewhere between 1 and 2, plus XP from PvP zones adds to it at 0.16 per 1 XP. So use AP & XP buff food/scrolls. A scout quest for example gives 500 AP, but 10,000 XP plus whatever buffs.

That's interesting. My first BG win of the day usually nets me about 50k veterancy with a Colovian Torte active.

Napkin math from level 50 it's 168,000 per level Veterancy to finish.
    - 50 levels x 168,000 vet = 8,400,000 vet total
    - 8,400,000 vet / 50,000 first BG win of the day
    - 168 days of winning a BG

Typing that I realise there was an easier math there haha. Anyway, that's ignoring Cyrodiil adventures, Whitestrakes, BG weekends, Zenithars XP buff, experience scrolls and of course the many many many matches I will lose that net about 12k each with my 50% tortes active.

Be thankful you’re not having to level alliance ranks too. Also xp in pvp areas count towards these ranks.

I agree with OP—not everyone enjoys PvP, and people (like me) just want, for example, the outfits from that activity, and the requirement to be rank 95 for the last outfit is just a pain for non-PvPers. Yes, you have 6 months to do it, but the required veteranci XP is enormous after level 50, and when you have a real life too, having to fully dedicate yourself to an activity you don’t like is just bad design in my opinion.
If these were at least tradable style pages, then okay, I’d buy them from a PvP players, but as it is, I have to farm them myself. If the final style were unlocked at rank 50–60 or something like that, it would be a reasonable grind for an activity the player doesn’t enjoy. I’m seeing more and more that ZOS is trying to force players into things they don’t want, and more and more of the content added to the game is time-limited. :/

if the war tortes work, then that means the 10% additional perk for being in vengeance would also stack with the torte

See it from the perspective of an PvP guy:
I dont have time to invest into veteran trials although i would love to get those exclusive trials skins and mounts.
Is ZoS forcing me to do content that i dont want or can't do?
There is no time limit for trials, i know, but...
