Regardless, I'm still being hit for 17k whips, etc. which even that video is showing you. Along with up to 10k CoE, Flames, etc. in addition. You're downplaying the issue at hand when you take off 8-10k off the biggest whip there and it's still incredibly substantial.
He’s a properly built DK with a small comped group giving him buffs while he has EMP. You’re supposed to get hit extremely hard by that.
Dk is strong, but you can’t act like there’s DKs running around with 40k+ health hitting you that hard. There is probably no other scenario in the game where you would take that much damage from a DK while on that werewolf.

Okay you are arguing that DK is better than WW therefore WW is not as busted...? What kind of logic is that lol? Both things can be true at the same time.
Yeah, either neither is balanced or both are balanced around being on a ‘reworked’ level. Most certainly not ‘wolf OP’ and ‘DK is fine’.

No, 1) you're in OP and you said werewolf 6x and DK not once. You're clearly fixated, this is very true. Which is the primary point I at attempting to attune to (that fixation/bias/constant post 'nerf calling' on your/React/Pelican's part and not doing the same for DK, etc.)
2) Someone else here I originally quoted tried to make the argument DK is 'fine' while werewolf is 'OP' which I said the following to (and then later provided the list of videos in response to yours with that in mind):Yeah, either neither is balanced or both are balanced around being on a ‘reworked’ level. Most certainly not ‘wolf OP’ and ‘DK is fine’.

Heart of Flame is a busted ability that allows so many things a normal sustain skill would not. This is objectively a fact and you can prove this with simple theorycrafting in game.

The skill gives the equivalent of something like 1,500+ magicka AND stamina recovery, heals for double what vigor does per tick around the 37k HP threshold, and allows you to pick up 3-4k max magicka and stamina as the max stats provide more sustain than haunch's regen does due to HOF. And it is a 3-6k delayed AOE burst to boot. And an interrupt.
Netch gives 400 regen equivalent of one resource, a small situational damage modifier, brutality, and a single effect purge.
The two things are not remotely comparable.
This person here (he knows who he is and was NOT emp) did more or less the same to a high health wolf here:
Hey, thats me! Here's the context for this image. I was;
5 medium, dark elf, triple infused weapon damage, shadow mundus, 3x offensive blue CP, nirnhoned battleaxe, continuous attack active. Orders wrath, rallying, mono. 33k hp.
Igneous says 19k because the recap is showing many instances of damage in one recap item, it hits for 1k ish.
An extremely high damage setup which itself can die fairly easily.
That recap is showing this individual did not block, dodge, or outspace any part of the extremely telegraphed combo across 3 GCDs.
Quite a bit different compared to the 45-50k HP WW doing more damage than you can heal primarily through dots, light attacks, and status effects with zero counterplay, whilst being entirely unkillable.

youre right, because netch is infinite cleanse and always working even when stunned and doesnt require an active cast and continuous rotation.
They're not comparable, no. And yet every other subclassing build using this and the passive for instant increase to your sustain on top of netch is why many players have stopped playing and why zos saw fit to give dk something that puts it on par with those subclassed builds. Without that skill dk wouldnt be able to compete with them, werewolf, pulse gankers, and probably not warden either, and I'd still be subclassing dk
Judging from how many people came back for the dk refresh vs how many left after subclassing was introduced, I think we know what people would rather put up with, with the promise of further class refreshes undoing the damage subclassing introduced.
Good idea, bad execution. Ideas can only be as good as their executions though.

1) Again, not an opinion. I base all my claims off of in-game data and mathematical numbers which can all be fact-checked by anybody.
2) Using a very specific example where HoF doesn't perform well doesn't invalidate my argument. In fact, it would make my argument stronger because if you that same scenario to literally any sustain skill in the game, you're going to suffer the same drawback (i.e. Netch/Rune Focus falling off and you getting stunned before you can cast them, or getting interrupted mid Dark Deal cast). If I play by your argument, sure, Heart of Flame doesn't let you build sustain while stunned, but if you cast it before you get stunned, then it's still going to give you that regen tick.
3) You are making the skill sound like it's worse than it actually is. It's not. First of all, Heart of Flame is restoring 15% of your max health every 2s over the course of 4s, ticking 3 times. This is the HoF's heal tooltip at 32.3k HP on my subclassed Sorc build in NO CP:
5169 HP every 2s and ticks 3 times. With Battle Spirit, that's a 2628 non crit heal and around 4.6k crit heal at 75% crit healing modifier
The sustain part has already been covered in the past, so I'm not going to repeat it here.
Then it's also doing a delayed AoE burst. At 6345 WD and 34.7k stam, the tooltip of HoF is around 9478 damage
Just for comparison, my B4B spammable tooltip at those same WD and max stam values has a 10990 value. With this tooltip and full pen, I regularly hit people for ~7-8k crit B4Bs, so you can expect to hit people for at minimum 5k crit HoF in PvP with full pen.
For an ability that has an extremely strong HoT, god tier sustain, and a strong AoE burst, you can't possibly try to paint it as something that has some sort of drawback. It doesn't.

10.9k on a tooltip spammable post the 1000 wep/spell 'fluff' damage they added a while back seems really low, I won't lie.

I've returned to play this game after years of break, and this situation where my new Arcanist is of the weakest class for PvP in ESO with an already weak and also bugged class mastery passive, and the BGs are literally filled with players playing the game with a totally different ruleset that favors them.. this all tells me that I should just quit for another two years.
This is not a nice feeling. I want to play.
Also I don't understand why rewriting some modifiers and adding effects takes two years for 6 classes. Are they such low on staff? Is ESO at the end of its lifecycle? Is it worth it to spend my time playing this game at all? These are the questions I have nowadays and BG after BG I'm just more sad.

This is the clearest case of biaseness I actually have no words to describe it. You are literally trying very hard to convince yourself and other people that Netch is somehow better than HoF and that it's "on par with subclassed builds".
Like, hello? Every build is subclassing Ardent Flame specifically for Heart of Flame because it is the most busted ability in the game that lets them chug armor pots for 5.3k extra armor and use Sugar Skull instead of Orzoga, both of which Netch or Rune Focus could only dream of.
Seriously, I cannot understand this level of conscious biasness. It's absurd.
Post a montage with of you Xing using only heart of flame to heal and sustain you if it’s so broken.
Theory crafting < Practical application
Lots of thing look and sound good on paper or in theory. But like Mike Tyson once said “everyone’s got a plan until they get punched in the mouth.”
I’m telling you as a dk main this skill will not carry you if you’re fighting against multiple good players with proper builds. It just will not happen. All of the Xing videos on yt are Jedi mind tricks. They show good players killing bad players that over extend and don’t understand positioning.
[/quote]On the other hand, WW howl and the rest of their kit for that matter will absolutely without a doubt right now full carry a bad player on a meta ww build all day every day and twice on Sunday.

This is something else they should target instead of 'nuking' on top of Signet to test.
Armor pots, the 5200 or so value was a generic buff given that mimics the old major resolve values. Even then, it didn't make sense and since then they have become more consistent in giving major buffs instead of unique values (there are more but the first thing that comes to mind is when they removed the 10k unique resists in favor of providing the generic major values instead)...
Honestly, they should either make these major (which would still maintain building opportunities at the cost of sustain) or rework the effect entirely. I really don't believe these should exist but I suppose that could just be my opinion.8

youre right, because netch is infinite cleanse and always working even when stunned and doesnt require an active cast and continuous rotation.
This problem has only surfaced in U49 and U50 solely due to the fact that sustain has become trivialized. Not to say that sustain wasn't trivialized previously, but this level of free sustain is unprecedented. In the past, the only way you could realistically chug armor pots was with Clever Alchemist + 3x Infused potion cooldown glyphs + Argonian race. That was a gimmick specifically tied to that build. U49 and U50 completely broke that by introducing free sustain with HoF, Conservation of Energy, and WW.
ZOS doesn't need to nerf this potion. What they need to do is tone down the level of sustain post U49 reworks.

Good idea, bad execution. Ideas can only be as good as their executions though.
Cant really say until they're finished with the refreshes, which they themselves have said. You can argue that going one thing at a time isnt best, as many have said, but continually ignoring that is indeed their strat is disingenuous to the conversation
edited for my bad execution of quote mechs
