The Tamriel Tomes are pretty anti-grind. They give you way more points than you need over the course of a season so that it's easy to skip weeks. You can also purchase the Tome and keep it permanently, which a lot of games with Battlepasses don't allow

While the big event of this season (Night Market) wasn't for me, I'm still enjoying the game and the fun it offers me on a daily basis. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy/fast it was to unlock all the Tome pages; it's nice to know that the seasons when I don't play as much, I can still make good progress on the Tome if I want to.

Not really. Didn't find the Night Market all that engaging and have absolutely have no interest in the overland difficulty. To be fair, I really haven't been engaged with the game much since late last year. Just been doing guild trader stuff and the occasional trial.

The next update does have a couple things that interest me: the new quest lines for Sheogorath and Thieves Guild as well as favors/rumors. Undecided on the sea battles. Need to see more gameplay videos.

I had fun with Night Market. It was getting tired by 10k favor though and was glad to put it down once I did that and the trial.

I like getting rewards I missed like Mizzik houseguest and the skill styles I wasn't paying attention for when they were free.

I like the PVP battlepass. Wouldn't bother without it.

So yes, I had fun. What we got was fun enough but I think the grind is a bit high and the activities wear out their welcome. But I think they are designed to keep us busy since there otherwise isn't too much new to do.

No. In PvP, my siege isn't as effective anymore esp. versus werewolves. I'm still firing it anyway.

Beyond that, I have not engaged much in the content that was added because it's not content that appeals to me.

I'm not grinding for power that will get nerfed down the line because it's obviously out of line.

I'm not grinding for the sake of grinding.

I'm not participating in Vengeance where I don't matter and an army will just roll me over without any possibility of losing.

I'm not participating in BGs which amounts to the same thing, except without siege.

I'm not "increasing difficulty" to waste my time fighting HP sponges.

    Housing didn't really get expanded.

There isn't any fashion I like more than what I already have, and there hasn't been much added.

Class masteries were a massive disappoint and underwhelming, esp. on NB. Power on paper, nothing in reality.

There isn't any new dimension to explore in terms of area, time, or even within the mind itself. In other words this update is essentially without content for me. So I can comfortably say no /b].

What about the obligatory "other"? Mixed for me. I had fun in NM, I'm somewhat having fun with challenge difficulty.

I hate Tamriel Tomes though, I have nothing but dread for the autoclaim function which forces stuff I don't want into my collections without my say.

Oh, and I'm not happy that I'm grinding all day for next-to-zero chances for the new furnishing plans.

that's ridiculous. Khajiit has ~30k favor, all the tomes rewards with ~3k tomes points, 7 caches stored up. Night market was delightfully fun - khajiit made so many new friends. This one is going to miss open groups - join up, smoosh stuff for great loots, drop and repeat with more folks. So delightful.

Could you be more specific what you don't like about tomes? You get plenty of time and points. Any challenge can be done in under an hour as long as you know what you are doing and many can be done simultaneously. Even if you are taking a vacation from game you can buy premium tome and do it in future whenever you will have time.

Sorta / other. I don't mind the tome and tome tasks, but I wouldn't call them fun either. Very repetitive and not engaging. Hoping for more variety and less repetition in the future.

I had some fun in night market, but it has some friction / pain points (like the keys, poor rewards in some cases, some bugs that need to be worked out, etc.) and has dragged on for too long.

I am enjoying vengeance when it's populated enough to find groups.

The grind for the new furnishing plans is outrageous and that type of thing that makes me log out and play something else. I will play interesting content to death to get rewards, but repeating old dailies and menial tasks for a terrible RNG chance is a no thanks.

Overland difficulty options would be interesting if I hadn't done everything before, but I'm not about to go back and repeat overland again. I look forward to using it for the new quests.

There's overall not much content and I find that I'm playing less than I was before seasons, and I have not renewed my eso plus and have not been missing it so far.

Season 1 looks like it might be a little more interesting, we'll have to see.

There's a good balance between "these rewards are timed" and "I have plenty of time left to get them". There's a lot of incentive to play now, where maybe 18 months ago I remember having done most things, sitting in a Tribute queue for an hour and just switching it off.

I like Tamriel Tome, but when it comes to the Night Market, this isn't really my thing, especially locking the monster masks behind a trial. As for recent updates, I have absolutely no interest in the Overland difficulty, and Veterancy is great for people who like PvP, but I'm not really into PvP, so...
    That's why I voted "NO."

The Season Zero Tome had a Werewolf Skill Style in it. That's a win in my book! We even got to see it evolve from Piercing Howl, Dusk Blue to Gnash, Dusk Blue.

Season Zero also introduced the Night Market, which has been a lot of fun. I got to run the Opulent Ordeal before and after the Werewolf rework, and I had a blast both times.

The night market has promoted a lot of guild activity in some of my guilds. One has been doing groups of 20+ multiple times a week. I can tell the GM is really enjoying the increased interest in events on discord.

I was worried about maximizing tome points. I think if you try the slightest each week (maybe even skipping), you'd have enough for all the things.

Why does it have to be kill this boss 5 times, i just stand there watching youtube for 25 mins.. some of these challenges needs a rework..
Just make them like kill 5 bosses in Glenumbra or Daggerfall .. then people that like to kill the same thing over and over can just do that, and i can roam a bit to get some of the world bosses that i never gotten achivement for done etc.

The open 6 chests are a good example of how it should be, you get these as a nice surprise when you play the game like normal..

The Tomes thing isn't a massive time sink. Generally the weekly ones can be knocked over pretty quickly. I have bucket loads of tome points and have not felt stressed by it in any way.

Night Market wasn't for me, but anything I'm missing out on there can be added to the great big pile of things in the game I'm missing out on in general.

New class mastery passive are pretty neat and, as I was already a pure class player, they are all straight buffs for me.

I had fun but I play way less now. ESO feels more like a giant sandbox of tools and systems since all the story/lore/exploration content dried up since I finished all that type of content.

I feel all the new content is very very tiny and cheap to make to keep people busy compared to actual new content that requires new assets, new music, new writing and new ideas.

Most of the new content so far is just a 'number go up'-treadmill with rewards, rewards, rewards.
    - Collect thousands of favors for a dye
    - Collect keys over and over again for trial achievement and rewards
    - Collect millions of AP for Veterancy rewards
    - Collect thousands of tome points for free or paid tome rewards by doing tasks we have done a 1000 times before
    - Do another 30 progress bars to collect golden pursuit rewards
    - Collect event tickets to unlock event rewards
    - ...

If you remove all the 'number go up for reward' stuff, you will notice there is not a lot of substance so far. Since most of the stuff I mentioned has a reset timer as well, that means they will just keep us busy collecting more stuff. We will have to see what the future brings and how that mythical new zone turns out next year. That will probably be the real make or break it point for people who are in ESO for story and exploration content. If it's too small, a whole segment of players will run out with stuff they love about the game eventually.

I enjoyed season 0. Got me back in to the game more often and quite a few friends as well. I’ve got way more tome points than I need (did not purchase premium) and I still only logged in less than 40 days so far.

I don’t particularly love the auto-claim that will happen at end of season. If I wanted the thing, I would have purchased it but otherwise, the tomes are fine.

I wanted to, but, no. I expect better at this point. I just wish there was a bigger focus on releasing permanent, rewarding systems. I also wish release quality was a little higher.

Tomes itself is an absolute bust for me. The rollout had too many issues and the consequences of those issues cost me a lot of caches that I otherwise wouldn't have spent. The system otherwise isn't bad, but I am begrudged against it because of how ZOS chose to handle the excess points.

The Night Market was also a bust for me. Maybe it will be better next iteration, but mine and many other's experiences I've read aren't positive. It has potential, but there's core issues that need to be much better thought out. Basics like grouping and rewards are not something I'm willing to be patient with anymore.

The Werewolf refresh is another negative experience for me. I tried it out last night and kept losing WW form mid-rotation. Just seems odd to me. Maybe that's intentional, but that's not fun for me.

There were some silver linings, like the DK rework, which I'll praise until the end of time. U49 also had some fantastic QoL. Those wins are short-lived though because there's nothing really new for me to do. I'm not going to prioritize skyshards and questing just to have something to do. I'll do IA here and there and some randoms, but that's not keeping me logging in.

Now, I am excited for the Warden rework, Sages Vault, and the High Seas Event. I hope they land well. My early optimism hasn't been rewarded this year.

There needs to be a middle ground with the poll options. Am I having fun? Sure, doing stuff I enjoy doing. But none of the stuff delivered in season 0 has created fun for me. The tomes are endeavors, which we've always had, so not really anything new. I skipped the Night Market (not for me). So yeah, I'm having fun doing what I always did.

Season 1 will be the make or break season for me, especially with the warden rework. For me, season 0 is a filler season while I wait for other stuff.

I've had fun throughout the season and in the beginning likely had a 10+% increase in play time over recent months. Class masteries have been great, but I don't play DK or much 2 handed so those changes didn't impact me much. Future season with my more played classes I am looking forward to. Still need to test the new werewolf.

Night Market was pretty fun and glad I had time in the beginning where it was super easy to get groups. Seems a bit tougher now if you were late to the party.

Overall, the season Model is working great for me. I have been able to get all I wanted and should have enough points to get everything i don't need/want as well and still have my 2K extra to carry over.

And now that summer is hitting and my play time decreases a bit I don't feel like I have to login just because and only if I want to go accomplish something. The true test will be if I slow play the beginning of the next season for the same reasons will I find myself stressed at the end or just able to still get everything without grinding tome points.

Almost no new content. Night Market is another bait and switch like IA was. It's not new content. It's just recycled content into a forever grind.

Where is the new content? Where is the effort to fix Grey Host if there ever even was an effort to that end?

This type of game development over time will not keep the game alive.

Yes but, I'd have a lot more fun if:

    1. My werewolf would stay up in combat, as it is now it's useless for prolonged fights.
    2. There wasn't severe audio sync lag
    3. The draw distance in Cyrodiil was more than 10 cm (exaggeration)
    4. They brought Blackreach back so we don't have to queue for 40 minutes
    5. They fixed the stuck in combat bug that's been here forever
    6. Challenge difficulty could be set by the group leader
    7. My monitor would stay on the correct one instead of jumping to one of the other two randomly when I start
    8. I could get through Wayrest without the first boss bugging out
    9. They put more new furnishings in the luxury vendor
    10. The new trial wasn't locked behind a massive grind wall (oh never mind, it's gone this week)

Overall, yes, I like most of the features, some need more thinking through, and as ever the servers need to be upgraded, I think they're probably running on GTX960s or something equally as archaic.
