It's like everything is losing its identity and its purity. Subclassing tossed all the skill lines in a pot and stirred them up to get a conglomeration that turns players into no class and multiclass at the same time.
I can't even imagine what they will do with alchemy to hybridize it. Who knows what kind of potions we will get next, but we will have to use them if we are to compete and keep up.
Everything is losing its identity, especially this game. It's fast becoming unrecognizable and for the first time I don't see this ending well.

Maybe I misread the article, but it does not seem like ‘hybridization’ but cleaning up duplication and other incongruent bits.
Not sure why so concerned.

I hear where you are coming from and agree with pretty much all of it...
But the last year or so, with the new leadership at ZoS, things have been changing... for the better.
You're seeing a lot of positive changes, IMO, and the updates are pushing people in the right direction. ZoS is being more transparent with a lot of things.

They will never come out and say this... but I feel like the class reworks are there way of phasing out subclassing. Once the classes are all reworked I would be curious to see if they remove subclassing from the game.
The old leadership at ZoS were some of the worst at chasing trends - only problem is they chased them about 5 years late everytime. Halo Studios/343i has the exact same problem.
I'd love to see subclassing phased out, healing/shielding reworked, and a slow reduction in the dps numbers we have been seeing.

This year has proven to me already that zos cares.
I might be jumping the gun a bit since we still havent seen warden's refresh yet, but given the other things theyve done this year, im more optimistic than i've ever been.
