Werewolves cannot interact with certain assistants

I've encountered an issue where werewolves are unable to interact with some assistants, such as the Crow merchant and banker. Meanwhile, these same assistants can be interacted with normally while in werewolf form when they are placed as furnishings in player housing.

My guess is that this happens because these assistants use special interaction animations. Since werewolves do not have compatible versions of those animations, the interaction ends up being disabled entirely. For example, the Crow assistant uses a standard talking interaction when placed as a furnishing in a house, but when summoned elsewhere it lands on the player's arm during the interaction.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_Kevin, could you please pass this issue along to the team? I hope it can be fixed as soon as possible. Simply allowing werewolves to use the assistants normally without animation would be sufficient. Thank you.

When you say can't interact, do you mean there is no option to interact, or there is an option but pressing it does nothing?

The latter could be an animation issue, the former would likely be a hitbox/game camera issue.

The crow assistants were specifically disabled from working in Werewolf form. Before that patch where they were disabled, you could use those assistants even while transformed, even with the animation bugs present.

If it's not made clear already, the description should tell you that their services are unavailable to transformed werewolves.

As Erickson9610 pointed out, crows summoned inside instances have no interaction options while you're in werewolf form. The entire interaction panel "[E] Talk" is missing, and pressing the interact key does nothing.

I love the crows. this was reported on the pts so I doubt they will change it. we will either need to get different assistants or cancel werewolf form.

Yeah I reported this and it was ignored, so don't hold your breath. We won't even see a fix for werewolf's texture bugs on the legs until the end of August.
    Hoping for more playable races.

I just want werewolf to be viable in endgame PvE T.T (which not allowed according to PTS update 50)

Saw same and reported as bug.

Would be nice to have these assistants working again or at least make it easier to exit werewolf form to talk to them (am I the only one who has to press the ult key like 5-10 times to exit werewolf form? it almost never responds to a single press, very annoying).

I mean, it’s not at all new. It’s been like this for some time. At least now, it’s smoother to detransform, sell, and retransform. But I have Ezabi as my banker, so I don’t have to deal with this unless I’m selling.

If you have Rampage ready (you see glowing tattoos on your character) then the first press will activate it, and then you're prevented from immediately reverting form for a few seconds. This is intentional so you don't accidentally press the key twice and lose form after casting Rampage, and it's thematic enough as it represents a loss of control.

Maybe a long press should directly revert your form, bypassing Rampage?

Yeah, when I reported it as a bug, I hazarded a guess that it was intended but I wanted more options for it and specifically called out potentially holding the ult button as a shortcut to exit the form. I appreciate you confirming that this is intended and the clarification on the Rampage cast as well. I certainly saw it when Rampage was ready but also struggled exiting with a single press when it was not ready, so I'm still not entirely sure if there's a bug or not present. Either way, it seems largely a learn-to-play issue on my part, lol
