Now there's nothing I can spend it on unless I pay?
Doesn't this defeat the purpose of a Pass-like system? To keep players engaged weekly on tasks ad infinitum?
I don't think telling Players to "Cough up $15 or go away for 6 weeks" is a good marketing strategy, or a good strategy for overall Player engagement... lol

The problem is there isn't much of value to buy with the tome points anyway. Not only are there way too many, but what we buy with them are almost exclusively cosmetic. The rest are items a long term player already has and doesn't need. There are no repeatable purchase options.
The way the system is set up now future seasons aren't going to be interesting at all to speak of. And the Night Market is already clearing out and it's already hard to get groups for specific tasks. The shiny has worn off both systems already, and these are the systems ZOS is relying on to keep sales going. Seems unlikely to work out to me.

I'll repeat my initial suggestion that the point cost to unlock the bonus pages should not exceed the points required to purchase everything on the free tier, plus 2000 for carryover. Either increasing the points required to purchase or decreasing the points required to unlock would resolve that issue. Premium tier is its own thing and it will be as it will be because you pay for that, both in real cash and the Tome Points required to purchase that tier's stuff.
I think some repeatable stuff on the bonus pages would be nice, though. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. Writ vouchers, Transmutes, Keys, Mimic Stones, Tri-Pots, and the like would work. I might draw the line at repeatable AP since that's Alliance War rank and comes very close to pay-to-win, but the rest on the bonus pages is fine.

The intention is that people will get the first upgrade and thus have more to spend points on. Those on the free tear should be able to simply play however and end up with more than enough points otherwise the paid tiers may require too much grinding. Some of the other currency conversions are interesting and I could surely get behind options perhaps feel the need to grind out max tome points per week.

Absolutely agree on that point. If I had nickel for every time I've had "F to Claim" on my screen while something was trying to one-shot me, I'd be sipping fruity drinks (with umbrellas because I'm not a complete cad) on a beach somewhere and letting compound interest take care of the rest.

WHY? the amount you can carry over to the next season is very limited. I trust you are getting these from farming gold coffers and not by farming tome points themselves...
