Shattered Path Signet Users Beware! - Frost Vault Final boss Progression

Just a PSA, not sure if this is by design or an oversight but the minor timidity debuff when wearing the Shattered Path signet will prevent you from using your ultimate in rat form. Discharge Ultimate needs 500 ultimate to activate and the debuff drains even when you are in rat form, meaning you can get soft block from even completing rat phase and moving on to execute. I am not sure if this has been talked about or if anyone even noticed but I am posting it here now to spread awareness.
So TLDR: Do not use Shattered Path Signet on final boss of Frost Vault

in the ogre boss, if you cc break when you get turned into an ice pillar to survive the ice mechanic, you break out of the ice and will end up dying to the mechanicplays PC/NA

✭Thanks for sharing but I've had this problem before. I'm not sure what I was using specifically but there's been several times my ult wouldn't work in 'rat' form and the group had to finish that part. So, there's other things causing this as well.I am thankful for all the people who have enabled me to succeed by contributing their time, patience, energy and talent towards our mutual success. There are other sources of Minor Timidity, like being on your backbar while wearing Monomyth, so perhaps it could have been that? It seems they could mitigate this slightly by making the ult for this mechanic cost like 475 or 400 instead.0 -

Yudo✭✭✭✭✭Just an observation: unlike mono, which respects in combat correctly, this signet applies minor Timidity always, though it only ticks in combat somehow. So is not exactly behaving as I expected from the description. Not sure if that has any impact on the rat situation though.

Players are still in combat for the duration of the Frostvault Rat Race, likely to prevent the boss from resetting0 -

✭✭✭✭✭To be fair, one person not having their ult isn’t the end of the world. It would work fine on HM, it’s just the strategy on non-hm is for everyone to take care of one pylon. You wouldn’t get soft locked out of the final boss unless you’re soloing it.
It’d be annoying to people to have to do your mouse for you probably but it’s not like “omg I forgot to take off the ring we need to wipe”.[PC/NA] Dungeoneer (Tank/DPS), Semi-retired Trialist, and amateur Battlegrounder (DPS) with a passion for The Elder Scrolls lore.
