When playing ESO in play anywhere the game would take up to 10 minutes to initiate, and when accessing the server the loading screen freezes.
    I have a 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12450H (2.00 GHz), a 16gb ram and a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU (6 GB)
Intel(R) UHD Graphics (128 MB), are my specifications not enough for the game to run?

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom is anybody looking into getting the play anywhere version working correctly with addons and the addon browser working correctly.

Why was this not tested before release? It would have been so simple to reach out to the devs of the most popular addons to ensure that the play anywhere version of ESO worked correctly with the addons you allow us to install before releasing early.

I really hope we get the Mouse and Keyboard UI from the PC version. As I really don't like the UI for the console for mouse and keyboard its not good at all.

Is it at all possible to get a version of ESO that includes, any character, you ever levelled, on any platform, in one place!? That would give people a lot of incentive to make an account with that place... if it was possible.

Well Crossplay is coming but this isn't Cross Save like what Warframe implemented last year if you know that game. I hope they do as I would move to the native PC version. The play anywhere versions limitations don't make sense to me if they are working on crossplay surely the play anywhere version could have been PC native with controller support.

Are any of the mods going to give some feedback on what is happening with the broken addon system in the play anywhere version?

To add some context, some add-on devs have updated to the new function call and are working with Play Anywhere version (such as Crutch Alerts and LazyWritCrafter). Settings are still not being saved, though, and I assume we really need Votan to update LHAS, as (I assume) this is the add-on that handles "save variables" for add-ons aka our user settings and menu context. Idk if that's the only other main issue right now, though.

Would be great to get the ZOS Add-On Devs to chime in on the matter too. Maybe they could code in some sort of cross-compatibility in the ESO UI level to be able to have add-ons work without needing every add-on dev to update their own scripts?

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom Votan updated LibHarvens and (most) of the UI errors have seemed to gone away, but my experience mirrors @Respectedflea in that any addon settings get reset upon ReloadUI or logging in.

So my question is regarding eso plus.

I have played since launch on xbox 3600cp 20/20 characters and an extensive craft bag. I moved to pc at Xmas, let my xbox eso+ expire and subbed to eso+ on pc (12 months). Obviously I would really like to play my xbox account on pc as it gives me best of both - fully developed account with pc graphics. But, having no eso+ on the xbox account anymore makes that prohibitive. I know you're not going to expect me to sub twice because that isn't going to happen and so might render this new option dead in the water for me and many others for the next 10 months of my remaining eso+ on pc. So, how do you expect players to deal with this issue?

Does this save variables issue on Xbox Play Anywhere impact the ability to save game settings or just add-on settings?

The reason I ask is that I noticed that in most cases options like crafting table options get reset after a reload and my choice of vertical sync goes back to off after restarting the game on PC.

Of course, I also can't save any add-on settings as well.

Edit: Fixed the in-game settings by deleting my saved file on Xbox everywhere. The add-on settings are not saved at this time.

Update: We have an internal repro and are investigating. Thank you all so much for the info thus far. We'll follow up here when we have more details.

I've fixed the issue on my end.

Adding the following into the Xbox Games\The Elder Scrolls Online- Tamriel Unlimited\Content\game\client\AppSettings text file unlocked my fps (Currently set to 180 cap)

    SET MinFrameTime.2 "0.00555555"

    Detailed guide for all:

Head over to where the game is installed (For me it's G:\Xbox Games\The Elder Scrolls Online- Tamriel Unlimited\Content\game\client) and find the text file AppSettings.

    You will see 4 entries like this;

    SET DepotId "1202"

    SET DepotEditable "0"

    SET ChannelName "xb1cert"

    SET LoadPlatformsFromTitleStorage "1"

    Directly under the 4th line, add this line;

    SET MinFrameTime.2 "0.00555555"

Edit the value to the desired cap. 0.00555555 is a 180 FPS cap. To find your value, divide 1 by your target framerate cap. For example, to raise the cap to 144 FPS for 144hz monitors, it would be 1 divided by 144 = 0.0083333333333333.

Save the file and voila! Enjoy your uncapped game.

This is great info and worked perfectly for me, thank you!

However, just like to point out that 1÷144 = 0.0069444444

0.0083333333333333 is the value for 120hz which is perfect for me!

Just wanted to say I really hope someone is working on bringing the PC version’s mouse and keyboard UI to the Play Anywhere version of the game. The current console UI when using mouse and keyboard is really not user-friendly at all.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom Can we get an update on how much longer we are going to have to wait for this to be fixed?

I find it strange that this was rushed out ahead of schedule in this broken state.

You could have tested it properly and released a working version on time.

Hello! The Elder Scrolls Online for Xbox is now available in the Xbox app for Windows as an Xbox Play Anywhere title. This early availability allows players to begin accessing ESO ahead of its official rollout on June 2, 2026.

We are testing the pre-release before the June 02, 2026 official release. There is no PTS for this.

How about helping getting the issues resolved by posting your issues instead of condemning an early availability.

Further to my question about eso+ (still not answered), the next issue is of course crowns. Are we going to be able to move our crowns around from different platform accounts?

Of course, as zos does not currently allow multiple platform accounts to use the same email address (as far as I know), how would any of this be reconciled?

If the answer to these questions are basically a no, you're stuck with eso+ and crowns on the platform (and therefore account) that you bought them on, then who really is going to use this? Who is it targeted towards? If you have a pc, and you're playing eso, then you obviously already have a pc account.

So, I can't see players wanting to pay for eso+ twice, and pay for usable crowns on two separate platforms from their pc, after all you can only play on one account at a time?

I built up my account playing on series X. I now own a PC capable of playing ESO at highest PC settings. I want to use everything I built up on series X on my new PC. Therefore I want the play anywhere version.

I have also THE ELDER SCROLLS® ONLINE: STEAM EDITION account which 8 years.

Can I use it to play from GAMEPASS PC or buy ESO+ from xbox PC app for my old account?

if that is possible like steam/epic/eso website that would be awesome feature.
(there is also account link option on website for xbox ass well like steam and epic but it says cahracterssare not shared between pc and console)

Other than that i dont think there will be much players who play on xbox will move to pc in this times where pc parts are skyrocketed because of AI.

I play on both PS and PC with the same account/email. Crown purchases are separated by platform and you need ESO+ on both.

Also don't see why having a PC obviously means you play on there. Not everyone prefers PC gaming. I've only just started playing on there even tho I've had one for years. I still play 90% on PS and started to use PC just to play with my daughter. As soon as crossplay hits my PC account will probably be abandoned

Hello! We wanted to provide an update on one of the issues some of you have called out in this thread. We do have a fix for the addons setting not saving on this version of the game, and it will be going out with the Update 50 launch on June 8. Thank you and please continue to raise any issues you run into!

Unfortunate we won't get the fix sooner to verify it is working. I haven't messed with Play Anywhere since then, as it makes it hard to switch between it and the Xbox version without my settings/add-ons sticking.

Yeah I get you there. I've been exclusively playing on the play anywhere version (even though it is stuck to the console UI for mouse and keyboard :( )

I only just game back to the game after a 4-5 year break so thankfully i can make due with addons not saving but working since i haven't set anything custom as of yet.

I am looking forward to Crossplay I feel like the ingame LFG is barely used.

1st off...this is so awesome! Aside from a few bugs that people have mentioned, it's working really well. I love that I don't have to play Xbox through the cloud anymore.

I did notice something about the image that I could be imagining, but it feels like the actual game looks different on Xbox Play Anywhere vs Xbox Cloud or natively on Xbox. It's like the shaders or colors are different. The image quality is much better than I'm used to on the Cloud since that couldn't utilize the high frame rates and resolution from my monitor. But something about the shading or colors just looks a bit worse. Idk, has anyone else noticed this?

    image.png?ex=69fcf6b3&is=69fba533&hm=7411eaf3bdbeb325b03421998fb4c8174c06a6e7de35289f157da5affbfa509c&=&format=webp&quality=lossless&width=1202&height=677

I notice this as well with Play Anywhere. Even having my brightness almost turned all the way down, the game is still fairly bright and almost washed out? Not sure if that makes sense. But the lighting is definitely off in this version.
