Yeah but right now if I could potentially lose the reward for dying trying to help, why would I help? Why wouldn't I just do a few hits, stand by a wall and just wait for the boss to die? Either or you're going to have people abuse the system, just right now you are punishing more people trying to help.

am with you on that , reason there should be a mid level of damage needed to get awarded for doing something. so that them that want to hit and run or them that hit and die both get nothing for doing nothing
we had some folks in a group tonight die and were dead when the boss died that did not get credit and could not loot. this needs to be fixed please. in no way is that fair.

Especially in the case of something like this, Id rather see them get credit for it than not and I feel bad that happened to you Flamedark. Its even more painful that you were in a group when it happened and I understand completely. I think for the sake of Night Market, they can adjust this to where you get group credit at least and they should if that is feasible.
Wow, the design choices here just keep getting worse lol
Since you cant revive yourself with Soul Gems in the Night Market you are forced to revive at set teleport sites. I was fighting a skirmish right when it started at the very beginning, I wasnt in a group (as the group that was fighting it was full) and a bunch of us almost got it down, but unfortunately I died when the boss was around 5%. Revived myself at a rez site, ran back, waited the timer for me to keep fighting, unfortunately the boss died before I could fully revive back. But because I wasn't "there" when it died I did not get credit for the skirmish quest or get the reward chest. People who help fight the bosses should still get credit for the kill. Especially since I was forced to teleport away from the boss and run all the way back to it. Or at the very least let us use soul gems in the Market, so I can rez back up closer and faster to it.

In no world should keeping people who haven't 'contributed' to something take precedent over people who have. In no world should someone who had the misfortune of dying and being unable to fully rez before the Boss dies be punished just to keep the 'leechers' from getting credit.heimdall14_9 wrote: »this is how it should be if not you will get 100s of players that just run get 1 hit in and die while still getting awarded for laying dead on the floor after doing nothing

Besides, isn't everyone saying to just 'soft group' to do things in the NM if they can't find groups or solo the place? This is the sort of thing that's going to happen when people literally can't engage with the content directly without getting ground into dust within a second.
So which is it? Do you want the place to be so hard this is how most people will be able to clear things, or do you want it to be adjusted some so people can actually engage and contribute without getting punted to the Moons in the time it takes to say "Where'd all my health go"? You can't have your cake and eat it too, you can't say a Zone is ""meant"" to be for grouping or following groups and then condemn people for following a group.
