I enjoy the difficulty of the Night Market

I was able to solo the kill 75 enemies daily on my character with 30k HP and a few self heals. It was a nice change of pace having to actually pay attention to enemy attacks and mechanics.

This has me excited for the harder overland difficulties coming in June.

Agreed. 30k HP DK built for PvP and I can solo a good chunk of things (with some difficulty). I'm sure the actual dungeons and trial are a different story, but running around a dangerous area for once is a great change of pace.

I’m having a blast with it. I think the devs did a great job. I think most people that have issues will find the fix for them in the group finder

I agree. I've been running around with 2 others from my raid group and we've been having fun.

If you're struggling with it solo you can either make your build better or you can group up in Group Finder. Willing to do neither just means Night Market isn't designed for you and the way you play the game, and that's okay.

My main criticism is that the population cap should be increased. I believe it was 36 during the PTS and from what I can see it hasn't been increased, which is probably too small given the size of the zone and would make some of the complaints about not seeing anyone go away.

I can also kill trash packs solo (and completed that quest solo as well). But it gets stale and tedious very fast. They drop nothing (apart from the one time fragment), respawn fast, and it becomes really boring to fight all of them just to get to a desired location on the map (for example back to the boss/squirmish/wherever you were after death brings you to the wayshrine).

It's fine if you have a group of several people, otherwise it feels like something to make players spend more time there.

I agree! I’m loving it! Very fun to sneak around getting the questing done!

If I wanted sneaking I would go doing heists. Yes, I also started using invisibility pots because I got bored of same fighting with no drops to compensate for time spent.

I've enjoyed my first night in the Night Market too. I took my main pure warden with a build I haven't used for ages, but as she's my main I wanted her to do the main quest. So I just looked in the group finder, joined a random group and tagged along. When that disbanded I hopped into another.

It was challenging and fun, even on my most out-of-date character. It definitely helps having good self heals. But I was genuinely amazed she managed so well. I'll bring some invis pots with her tomorrow, but I like how you can fly down after a rez and get straight back in the action or to get close to a quest objective.

I was expecting it to be closer to normal group dungeons in difficulty, and it feels more like vet dlc dungeon difficulty? My normal dungeon group cant do this stuff and thats disappointing as we were excited to have some group content to do outside of dungeons.

How big are the groups from the group finder? 4 people? Or more?

Please put the Eyevea/EarthForge wayshrines back on the map?

Just came here to say, I'm quite curious to see if they'll lock this like they did with the negative feedback threads.

ZOS, here’s my two cents. I LOVE the Night Market. One of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in the game. It is loads of fun running around stealthing for some quests and grouping for others

This is going to force me to get better builds and better skills. Please don’t make it easier.

Yessirrr its been a blast, put my solo build to work which ended up turning into a semi tank for groups I joined, was a fun challenge. I especially love how creative Zos got with the dune style worm boss lol, was not expecting that. Really badass, was a fun surprise.

The last skirmish boss and the last holder of the relic fragment I needed wiped our group lol and despawned so that sucked but I am still happy I didn't beat everything in one go like I expected.

Wow then my group was way too small. Its sad, I was looking forwards to playing this with my friends, but pugging holds no interest for us so I guess we're just gonna have to stay disappointed :(

I've been running 6 with man groups (1T, 1H, 4D) quite comfortably. All experienced players acquainted with each other but not necessarily having played together all the time. A tight-knit 4 man group can probably do okay as long as another group is working the area, and the area isn't full of non-grouped players pulling a train of monsters through your battles.

I was nervous after all the feedback. Was tedious solo. My raid team is forming in 20 for us to go in but a different guild was just calling for people and we ended up with like 5 or 6 and just decimated the skittering district. I'm actually hoping we split the raid team, 12 optimized people will be too much.

That said, rewards are laaaame. The grind is weird. No one knows what to do. Some people had a quest to use fire things on spiders but we all got credit even without the quest, don't know how that works. RNG to get to the actual bosses is not good. Having to do it all over again to fight the trial boss again is also not fun. Beyond that though, super fun. In a group.

Im glad to see the addition of content like this! We really needed something of this caliber. Its new for us and Zos, so there will be a hitch or two, but all of us had a blast! Some of the quests and objectives could maybe be elaborated on more and I think the instances could maybe be bigger. Either way, this is fun! I had all kinds of groups going, all sizes, mixed cp, playstyles, you name it, we had it! Looking forward to having some more wild groups out there💪

Tbh it’s not too badly designed place. But, it’s all recycled content, there is nothing new, all reused from other places, and it heavily relies on players playing.

I do not see population supporting ease of meeting up with people as it appears to be a lot of areas completely deserted.

With a cap of 36 players per instance it’s always going to seem deserted. Group finder is the key here.

Nice to see at least one positive thread about Night Market. I enjoy the difficulty, I enjoy the mechanisms, I enjoy the bosses, I enjoy the flow of the zerg (sorry PvPers, but I still enjoy riding the zerg in Cyro).

It's an awesome wee zone. I do hope we get more Night Markets in the future. Maybe with a bit better rewards and more in game explanations next time.

Even staunch anti-zerg PvPers are Zerg Surfers in the Night Market I can assure you 😭

    I’ll admit - better than I thought.

I am hardcore into Dungeons, so the loss of Dungeons this year did hit hard. This is definitely not the same, but it’s not unwanted. Still, lots of reused assets and bosses (but that also means that people who have done a lot in game can also recognize the attacks and immediately know what to do).

I puttered around a bit solo in my zerg surf PvP setup and that handles trash well (if a bit slow since I prefer to play tanky and therefore wet-noodle-DPS). But when my Dungeon group got on and I went into my normal setup, we blasted through everything easily. Some of the Skirmishes (especially the sandstorm one) were really tough since there’s way too much to grab at once so we did have a bit of res prog there, and the Duneripper was tough until our healer went to a full healer loadout instead of a DPS-with-one-heal, but it was very enjoyable.
