Players have given strong feedback on the following:
- Too low of carry over on Tome Points (2000)
- Lack of ability to convert tome points to something viable outside of the tomes
- No auto-claimer, or auto-claimer set to off by default
There have been SEVERAL proposed solutions by the community that seem to have been ignored but seem relatively easy / low hanging fruit:
1) Increase the amount of Tome Points carryover
2) Create a "Permanent" Tome page that allows the repeat buying of consumables (specifically, things like Infinite Archive Points, Telvar Stones, AP, Gold, etc).
3) Allow conversion to Seals or Trade Bars at a significantly lower rate
4) Add additional pages to tomes so there is less mass carryover.
Instead, we get this laughable 10 gold to tome point conversion and forced auto-claiming? A full ESO+ Month worth of Tome Point Cache (2000 = 20,000g?). That is ridiculously low, especially when in the Tome Points itself you get 200 = 20,000g.
This has been by far the most consistent feedback on the tome, and yet I have yet to see an official response as to why the MANY repeated suggestions by the community are being ignored in favor of a system *no one* has asked for.
Aside from asking whether you read this morning's patch notes, let me run a hypothetical by you and see whether your questions don't answer themselves.
Let's pretend that the carryover limit gets doubled to 4K, so you start the Tome with Pages 2 and 3 unlocked. Let's also pretend that you are a free-tier player and that the purchase costs for the stuff in the U50 tome remains similar to what they are for the U49 Tome (PTS only sees three pages and bonus). There isn't 4K points worth of stuff to buy on the free tier of those first three pages. It's close (~3800, IIRC), but not there. If you were to earn enough points to unlock the bonus pages, you're still almost 5K points over the total cost of everything in the free tier (~15.1K points) for U49.
Now consider how many pages you currently have unlocked in your Tome. We're not quite 4 weeks into the season and still have 9 weeks (plus 2 days) to run. I'm a couple of hundred points short of unlocking Page 9 on my main account, closer to 1K short of unlocking Page 8 on my alt account, and U49's Tome had everyone start from Page 1. Doubling the carryover means having fewer pages to unlock, but the same roughly 14 weeks to unlock them. What is your proposal for the last-season? Or were you planning to thumb-twiddle for two months until U51's Tome gets here?
Of the suggestions listed, repeatable purchases on the last page of the Tome is probably the one which would do the most to mitigate the "rush to get everything done now" mindset that many players have. Increasing the Tome Point carryover would only server to exacerbate the existing problem of too many points available and not enough stuff to buy. Other in-game currencies are reasonable proposals, but Seals or Trade Bar conversion is iffy. Most of the stuff that's available for Trade Bars is stuff that I've already collected since I've been playing for several years, but it likely has its appeals for players who haven't been playing for that long. Seals would put a dent in Crown Crate purchases, so it's very likely a non-starter from that perspective, but it also has its appeals.

It's their first season. They have to accomodate multiple playstyles for these.
