I was bored when the PTS wasn't up on Monday so I came up with some Vampire change suggestions since we've got the new Vamp skill style.
These might be a bit out of scope or might take more effort than one might expect so..
Allow Ultimate Gain During Transformation:
As Ultimate becomes easier to obtain being blocked from getting it has become a greater downside.
While Perfect Scion is slotted hide your Vampirism Stage. Transformation increases your size but does not otherwise change your appearance . Instead of healing you to full health, transformation grants you a damage shield that is equal to your missing health.
This one might be a bit sketchier than the other change suggestions the intent here is to add a few more niches for the morph to be good at to make it a bit more competitive with Swarming Scion. Giving you a damage shield instead of restoring your health makes it so that you can continue to take advantage of the various low health benefits that Vampire builds can have. Having it hide your stage allows players to keep a more normal appearance if they wish to do so.
While Blood Frenzy and Simmering Frenzy are active grant Major Brutality and Major Sorcery.
With subclassing and the class reworks coming just getting a few hundred weapon/spell damage in exchange for not being able to be healed by others, losing a bar slot, and taking damage constantly isn't a great deal.
While Sated Fury is slotted on either bar, you gain Major Brutality and Major Sorcery.
The intent here is that Sated Fury continues to offer less risk albeit with slightly lesser rewards.
Significantly increase the damage of Vampiric Drain and morphs while also slightly increasing the cost
Vampiric Drain does slightly less damage per tick than 0 Crux Fatecarver to a single target at a significantly slower tick rate. The ability is cheap enough to use that it can render the Vampire ability cost reductions of the later stages less useful so having the cost go up a little bit to somewhat balance the increase in damage out wouldn't be too disruptive.
Increase the % of missing Stamina restored per tick by the Drain Vigor morph to 15%
The intent here is to better compete with Core of Flame and Exhilarating Drain.
Mesmerize and morphs grant Major Protection for 5 seconds on activation
Mesmerize and morphs can be awkward to use as they require the enemy to be looking at you the hope is by adding some temporary power they would be a bit more effective to use.
Reduce the base duration of Strike from the Shadows by one second but, increase it by two seconds for each Vampire ability slotted.
The intent is to slightly scale up the rewards for running multiple vampire abilities and to reward the stages above one a little bit better.
Unnatural Movement increases movement speed by 3% for each Vampire ability that is slotted.
Again, the intent is to slightly scale up the rewards for running multiple vampire abilities and to reward being Stage 4 a little bit more.
Vampire Lord Set Change Suggestions:
Five Piece Bonus Changes:- Adds 900 Health Recovery.
- +1%/2%/4%/6% increased Vampire Ability Damage by stage
The intent of the changes is to increase the value across the board. Since it is an Overland set that is used as a quest reward it is a bit awkward for it to provide nearly zero value to players that aren't Vampires at the later stages.
Talfyg's Treachery Set Change Suggestions:
Three Piece Bonus Changes:- Adds 3-129 Weapon and Spell Damage instead of Adds 25-1096 Maximum Magicka
Five Piece Bonus Changes:- Increases your Weapon and Spell Damage by 516 instead of 372. Increases your damage taken from Flame damage and Fighter's Guild abilities by 15% instead of 5%.
The intent is to have the risk and the rewards of the set be a bit more extreme.
